This headset absolutely rocks! When I first opened the package I was disappointed that I couldn't use them right away, as they took several hours to charge. However the wait was well worth it. They came with a charging dock which I connected to my console and I let them charge for the specified amount of time. Once they were charged it was time to play some games. The sound quality on these headphones was phenomenal. Not only could I hear everything in my game, I couldn't hear any background noises from my house, which was a miracle in itself. The Microphone mute was super easy and it's one of the many reasons why I like RIG headsets. This is the second RIG headset that I have owned and I am happy with both of them. The headset did not have any design flaws that I found while using them. They sit in the charging dock with ease and charge quickly the second go around. The charge seemed to last for quite some time as I tested them for a couple of hours and did not receive an low battery indication. Overall I'm happy with the headset and I highly recommend them.

What a nice headset! I can't compliment these enough! They are great performance for the dollar! I have several wireless pairs and these are phenomenal Love the functional doc - works for wireless PC or gaming! and the slot for the usb wireless is great - I won't loose it! Fitting - these are very comfortable and adjustable. They are over the ear design and it sits nicely over the ear and the banding over the head. You do have 3 height adjustments Audio quality is nice. Crisp reproduction of audio with good loudness. I really like the output with adjustment of game/voice and overall volume. Its direct and not complicated. Charging is easy. Just place it in the cradle and ensure 1 side connects. Other sets I've had required you connect on both sides. This is much easier and you get the front LED to confirm proper placement. Setup was easy as plugging in the USB dongle into my XBOX - was up and working in 3 seconds! This is my sons primary audio function for the xbox and he loves them!

I would lile to start by saying i only use rig headsets i currently use the rig 700 pro hx i decided to buy these for $99 on black friday i only used them for an hour the base station is cool but the audio sucks and the mic just sounds bad. Do not buy!!

These sound great. You can hear everything very clearly from the music playing in the background to footsteps approaching you. The build quality is pretty good as well. The added dock is a nice addition as they cradle them and remain upright. It actually leaves you some options for charging however. As mentioned, you can set them on the dock or connect the usb directly into the headset. The typical features you find in headsets are also found here from mic monitoring to muting by flipping the mic up. So you might be asking what makes it sketchy for me to not have rated it 5 stars. Well for one, the mechanism that holds the ear cups onto the headband leaves much to be desired. Every time I have to adjust it I fear I may damage the headband while trying to remove the ear cup. To clarify, the headband features 3-4 opening slots that sets the notch of the ear cup. You have to press out the ear cup if you want to adjust its placement. The second, there’s an odd connection system going on. At random moments, they seem to disconnect for no apparent reason. Staying within a few feet of the dongle it suddenly begins shouting at you that it’s no longer connected. Cycling it seems to fix it for a time until it repeats all over again. The last, the dock houses a USB port for your dongle which rests under the headset. The design makes removal a real hassle. The quick start guide specifies to not pull up on it but the angle and length make it a problem.

I have to admit that I had not heard of RIG before I came across these wireless headphones with mic but I am extremely glad that I finally did! I’ve been a gamer since I was a kid, so back when the dinosaurs ruled the earth my kids say, but with my work taking up the majority of my time & then my family getting the rest I have admittedly been out of the gaming loop for a couple/few years now. That said I have always stuck to wired gaming mice, keyboards, headphones/headsets, etc. due to my belief that any additional latency is horrible in FPS games like CS 1.6, CS:S & CS:GO (I still play CS:S when I do have time to game). However, I have not noticed any additional latency with this wireless headset. I tried it in both wired & wireless configurations in order tl be sure I wasn’t just missing it when in wireless mode. Now, I haven’t gotten all scientific with it and done controlled studies with highly precise timing instruments & I am just going off the “butt dyno” for the latency or no latency but I was and still am a fairly highly competitive CS:S player when I do get the odd chance to play. Setup was a breeze due to how this is configured as I had the charging base with the wireless dongle plugged into the base, then had USB going from the base to my computer. I’m sure I could have the dongle in the PC & then the base charging via usb to my computer or even going base via USB to a charger adapter/wall outlet adapter and charge the headsets that way but I like this way for now. If I decide to try another layout then I’ll try to circle back to this review and update. Anywho, the headset’s auto run-enabled embedded software launched once the base was plugged into my PC & so I proceeded to install the management software on my desktop & a couple of laptops. It all went smoothly & seamlessly. I am beyond happy in regards to the sound the quality, the build quality is the base & headphones and the microphone as well. I can’t stress enough how insanely easy it is to install and then use these! Even some of my tech illiterate family were able to setup & use these. Lastly, these feel very premium and look and feel like they should cost twice as these sell for. The included Dolby Atmos license was super cool & not something I expected for this as I guess I overlooked it originally! So, in Windows these get the Windows Store App licensed & now I’m looking at a Dolby Atmos sound at to replace my computer sound bar do I can have a. Awesome setup. Thanks RIG for such a wonderful headset! I truly love them & have found my new go-to with regards to mh PC’s audio setup plus any other gaming solutions that they might offer!

Terrible headphones for Xbox x! Sound quality is terrible. Sounds muffled and then high pitched sounds kick in. Very disappointed!

The Rig 800 Pro HX wireless headset had some severe connection issues. It kept disconnecting from the console and reconnecting. When working properly the playback sound was excellent, however I did experience some lagging in the playback. This was just enough to be noticeable. The outside noise dampening needs some work, but it did knock out most noise. These are not noise cancelling. At first the headphones fit comfortably, but after extended play they became uncomfortable and painful. The battery stated capacity is 24 hours, I never went over 10 hours before replacing them on the charging unit. Just an FYI From out of the box to initial full charge was just over 6 hours. The fit of the headphones is adjustable by popping the earpiece out of its holder and putting in back in a different slot. This made for very limited adjustability. There are only 3 slots for each earphone. There is only a limited small quick start guide to get you started. There was a problem setting up the Atmos with the console. With no document to assist a quick google search led the way. Set up for windows was even more problematic, and I gave up. The 800 PRO HX was marketed for the Xbox, it did work better with the Xbox than a PC. I could not find any documentation for Bluetooth.

I have used RIG headsets for a long time now. My first headset was a corded 400 for my kid. Then, I picked up a wireless 800LX for myself and used that forever. That headset finally got a little old and worn so I picked up this new PRO edition after reading some online reviews. This is a definite upgrade and it didn't lose any of the quality or performance of the original model like some brands do when new models come out. The 800 PRO actually added features and kept price the same. Amazing. Best feature, and the reason I upgraded, was for the base. It's a super convenient place to keep the headset and also charge it. What I didn't expect was the extra USB radio dongle. It let's you place the charge base anywhere you want while the radio plugs into your Xbox. Audio, both speakers and mic, are great. No complaints. Others say I sound great. The wireless range. Seriously, zero complaints. Product well done.

The adjustable cushion of the headband and insulating earcups are extremely soft and cushiony. Battlefield 6 just came out. My gameplay has been compared to dog water. I was recommended these so I could hear what direction the enemy was coming from and beat them to it. Lo and behold, I can definitely hear what side the enemy is coming from, and I still get wrecked. The headphones do exactly what I was told they would do, I am just still dog water

This headset is a great option for it's price range. Light weight, sounds great. I had Steel series 7 before and feel this headset is a upgrade for sure.

Love the wireless, and the battery is fantastic. Have to take out the little wireless usb stick each time to connect, but the audio is fantastic. Mic quality is sub-par, but gets the job done.
