Going wireless with a gaming headset was much easier than I thought. I was worried about latency between the headset and the screen since mine is connected through a surround sound receiver. Well that is not an issue at all. Not only do I not notice any latency but the sound is way beyond what I was expecting. To explain, think about being in a movie theater where it sounds like things are coming from every direction, even behind you. That is what it's like when you are playing a game. You can hear people sneaking up behind you! The quality of sound is very good as well. Nice deep tones and clear mid and high range. Sound quality from the mic is equally as good. Others have said it sounds clear and true to the source. And if you don't feel like talking you can easily mute the mic by flipping it up. As for comfort, the ear pads are soft and fit nicely over my ears. I haven't looked closely but a nice touch would be if you could replace the pads if they wear out. And the huge plus is that you can set them in the cradle to charge! Good thing is you can play all day and not worry about charging. I have gone from early in the morning to late in the evening and didn't have to charge them. Overall I couldn't be happier.

The Rig 800 is a well balanced wireless gaming headset. The sound profile suited more towards my liking, balanced, and no overwhelming bass. They do have great bass, and is there when it needs to be. Turning on Dolby Atmos really brings this headset to life. These are pretty lightweight considering they are wireless, but still heavier than most wired headsets I've tried out. If wireless is what you're after, this is probably the set you'd be interested in. The Rig 800 has it all. They are very comfortable, easily adjustable, great sound, and have a charging dock that allows you to charge them without a cable. The mic boom is flexible, and mutes itself while in the up position. There is no supporting application, so these are plug and play with the exception of turning on Dolby Atmos through the Dolby app. The wireless range is decent. I was able to walk out of my gaming room/office to the kitchen to grab some water while waiting for the next map to load without disconnecting. It was about 30 feet away, and quite a few walls. Overall I'm very impressed and would recommend these to anyone looking for a wireless gaming headset. Likes: 1.) Sound great 2.) Very comfortable and adjustable 3.) We thought this was a great buy, however after 3 months of using this pair and babying them they have just stopped working.

Can't rate it as the Removable USB Wireless Adapter is missing. Tried contacting company and they are not helpful. My son received this for Christmas and can not even use it. Super disappointed!

Very poorly built. It was flimsy, the mic clipped at a whisper, and it wasn’t the most comfortable. Over all not impressed for the price.

Great Choice. These are the third RIG product I have used and have yet to be disappointed. Packaging was great, arrived undamaged. Opened up and everything was out and ready to be charged on just a few minutes. Ran a few errands (maybe 3 hours or so) and they were fully charged and ready to go. Comfort was fantastic. I used them for a solid hour and had no fatigue. The sound was excellent on all games we tried. Having the Atmos feature is very cool, especially in headsets. You can "track" sound in a 360 degree fashion as Atmos moves the sound field. While that is really cool on my 7.2.1 system on my home theater, with headphones the sound is more "precise" since there is a much smaller physical area. As for battery life, I really can't comment... My teenage sone was quick to abscond with these to his basement and he has been using them for last couple days but he says they easily last all multi-hour sessions that he's engaged in. End of the day, another solid RIG product and I would not hesitate to use their product line in the future. I would [and have] recommend to a friend without any hesitation.

I have had a couple RIG headsets over the years, and they always felt like a great value to me. This new model is no exception. The charging stand not only looks great, but provides a lot of added convenience. It's easy to finish gaming and pop the headset down on the dock so it's ready for your next gaming session. A flip-to-mute mic is one of my favorite headset features. I hate having to try to find a tiny button to mute my mic, but flip this one up, and you can have a side conversation conveniently. Sound quality is punchy and great for gaming. I haven't had any issues hearing my game audio while chatting with friends. This RIG headset also feels like and plush, while being secure on my head. I can wear this headset for hours with little to no discomfort. I also like that this can be used on PC or XBOX with a simple flip of a switch. Battery life has been plenty for multiple gaming sessions in a row without charging in between, but the dock charger makes charging in between sessions as convenient as possible.

It's a great headset, people having disconnect issues. ( I did as well ) The issue is wifi interference, simply move the router to another location away from the headset and base. Now it works almost perfect, the sound is amazing, comfort is great, operation is easy and for the price it's a great headset.

Mic lasted two months and I am no longer able to speak as the mic broke.

Very disappointed for the money you spend on this unit. Buy something else you will ba a lot happier

I used to love this brand but the flip mic has went out on me twice with the 800 and now the 800 pro. TRASH QUALITY!!!

The Rig 800 Pro HX wireless headset, while good is certainly lacking in some areas. First lets talk about the good stuff. The sound quality is exceptional, and the dolby atmos availability is nice addition, however not unique to the price point. Secondly, the charging base included is a great perk for a dedicated place to rest your headset after a gaming session. The mic has a long reach and the ability to mute by raising the mic is quick and easy. The battery life is long, so worrying about it running out during a longer session isn't a problem. Now for the things I'm not so keen on. The headset requires a USB dongle to operate as a wireless headset. In this day and age with other products on the market that are out of the box capable of wireless connection, this mode seems archaic. it is possible to house the dongle in the charging dock, that dock must then be connected to the Xbox for it to work. As for the headset itself, I noticed multiple times during gameplay that even sitting right in front of the xbox (less than 2 meters away) the headset would randomly disconnect from the xbox, for anywhere from 15-30 seconds at a time. With this headset taking the moniker of "PRO" anyone who would use these in a competitive situation would agree that that amount of time without communication would spell certain doom. I retested multiple times to make sure it wasn't a one time issue and it happened on multiple occasions. I also checked the battery level to make sure it wasn't a power issue. It was not. Turning to the physical aspect of the headset. The earpieces are adjustable so that they will fit on almost any head size; and the ear pieces are soft and comfortable at first, but with limited airflow, they get very warm, moist, and uncomfortable when playing with them on for more than maybe a couple hours. They are not made for longer gaming sessions in this aspect, regardless of battery life. Overall while they are good, they certainly fall short of being great, settling on mediocre or middle of the road at their price point.

I have been searching for a good wireless headset to use with my Xbox Series S which sounded good and allowed me to chat with my friends. I have finally found that headset with the RIG 800 Pro HX Wireless headset. Straight out of the box, set up is easy. You get the dongle, base unit, USB charging cable, and of course, the headset. You can use this with a PC or Xbox, so you must slide the selector switch to which you want to use. Then you can plug the dongle into the system or directly into the base unit and the base unit into the system. If you want to use the system to power the charging base, I recommend you plug the dongle in to the base and then the base into the system. In any case, the process is simple. Then you are up and running. Just for completeness, this headset will not work with the PS5. The PS5 will recognize the RIG – 800 Pro HX and show the name when you look for the audio devices. However, no sound will come out at all. So, this system only works with the Xbox line and PCs. No for how it performs. There seems to be a growing trend with headset manufactures to put an adjustable head strap on headsets. I have never found one that makes the headset more comfortable, and this is no different here. At least this head strap is easily removed. After that, it fit reasonably well and was comfortable. The earmuffs were still comfortable after a few hours wearing them. The sound quality was good, but I wish I had a little more control over the sound overall. There was no real personal equalization to tailor the sound to your desires. Overall, the sound was good, but I would necessarily call it mind blowing. It is good for movies and gaming, but it is not the best I have ever heard either. The boom mic works well. You can pull down to turn it on. If you want to mute yourself, you can simply flip it up to turn off. It also has good noise cancelation. You should have not issues communicating with your teammates in the heat of any gaming battle. The battery life was impressive. I couldn’t come close to running the battery down even with two nights of playing. Most people though will just place the headset on the charging base after each gaming session. The base looks high tech, so you will likely want to use it.

Most comfortable headset I have ever used. It's so light that I barely even feel like I'm wearing anything. The audio is also great and is made even better with Dolby. I play Warzone and can actually hear exactly where people are. The charging dock is also such a great add on. I never have to worry about looking for a cable to charge my headset.
