Since then, the headset has increased in the disconnect/connect frequency to the point you cannot play with the audio/mic.

They worked okay for the first couple of weeks, then the sound started dropping randomly. If you're in a party they can still hear you, but you cant hear any game or chat audio. Had to unplug and replug in the adapter FOUR times within an hour of playing. Got irritated and tried to return, best buy refused because it had been 28 days and their policy is only 15. Now having to reach out to Plantronics and HOPE they will replace it. For the price I am very disappointed that it didn't even last a month. Have owned a pair of Turtle Beach Stealth 600 for my PS4 for over 3 years and they're still going strong. Should have stuck with what I knew worked.

Static was an issue that interrupted chatting on both sides. I spent more time trying to fix it so I could communicate with my team during a game.

Started with constant disconnects and huge static noise using the mic. You would think paying $150+ that the quality would be better

You can't completely eliminate either 1 no matter what. If you listen to music with another app while you play, the volume knob will only let you get about a 25/75 ratio to either side. So no matter what you do, there's always going to be unwanted sound coming through

An explosion makes the speakers crackle and it’s just overall not a good sound headset. I bought this and going to return this as soon as I can get back to Best Buy.

In order to troubleshoot it, please make sure you configure the volume levels on both the headset and console settings. You might also want to try cycling through the EQ modes by tapping the EQ button and hopefully it will give you a different response. Lastly, resetting the connection between the adapter and headset might solve the issue. To do so: 1- Make sure the device switch, on the back of the USB receiver, is set to Gaming Console before you connect it to a different USB port in the Xbox One. 2- On the USB receiver, press and hold the link button until you see the light flashing red and blue. 3- On the headset, hold the power switch in the upmost position until it starts alternating red and blue. Once the light goes of on the headset, the procedure is complete. If you get the same results even after following the previous instructions then most likely there is an actual problem with your unit and it is best to replace it. This unit has a one-year limited warranty from date of purchase. We will forward your comments to our team for consideration. What a disappointment. The headset felt cheap and the sound was subpar. Add that to the choppy wireless performance and it was a no brained to return these.

If you were experiencing some audio and connectivity issues with the headset, next time you may want to establish a new connection between the headset and the wireless receiver. To do so: 1) Unplug the wireless adapter from your gaming console and restart it (completely turn it off and back on). 2) Reconnect the adapter and press and hold down the linking button on your adapter until it starts flashing an alternative red and blue. 3) Once flashing red and blue please put your headset in pairing mode by pressing and holding the power switch towards the linking icon until it starts flashing red and blue as well. 4) Once the headset stops flashing and the LED light on the adapter is solid purple means they are successfully connected. We also recommend testing the headset with your PC to completely isolate the issue. Please note this unit counts with a limited warranty since the first day of purchase and you can request a replacement directly through our official website: https://bit.ly/2N637EC. Headset cuts out and now it’s December and it has bad Static and you had to adjust a mic to get it to stop for five minutes before it starts again

The mic half the time will stay muted. And the rest of the time it acts like there’s a loose wire so it’s super staticy making it unbearable for gaming with anyone else as it’s very loud in their ears.

Almost Perfect

You can really tell where footsteps are coming from, all the little sounds details are really precise. The Headphones are extremely comfortable, and you can really adjust them to fit you. One weird thing of note that took some getting used to was the left speaker feels more closed back due to what I assume is the amp, and controls on that side, versus the right speaker feels slightly more open back. Its really not major, and once you start playing you will get used to it. I am completely blown away by the sound for the price to be honest. The one thing though that maybe it is an issue with mine or a setting on the xbox, but I do get a little bit of static noise when the headphones are turned up. I would say I only get the noise about half way volume.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted to wait to do a review because I've owned so many gaming headsets it's not funny. I'm an avid gamer and so headsets for me are used several times a week. I have gone through many "decent" headsets that have died. I was a bit worried about plantronics at first despite reviews because I'm not a fan of their office products. But I am so glad that this headset was different. I have owned this a year now and hands down best set I have ever owned. Pros: - comfortable for long term wear - adjustable - the wireless continues working even if your controller batteries die since it is connected to xbox - can leave your system on to chat with people even if you turn on another system also to play on such as if you want to play ps4 but your friends on xbox want to talk - true surround with the included Dolby digital. Fortnite is a good example since they use total surround and directional audio - the wireless range on this is INSANE. In a 2000 square foot space, i can go from the upstairs to basement level and it still stays connected almost anywhere in the home. - impressively long battery life - noise cancellation is not 100% but it does pretty decent for certain edible ranges. Blocks out talking and such pretty well. Cons: - every once in a while it will unsynch when it has been off. Just have to redo the synch button. Real easy. Usually it reconnects itself even when it has been off. - sometimes party chat will cause game sound to drop and you have to readjust the sound balance wheel on the headset Overall I really recommend this set. The couple of glitch things it has are not enough to outweigh all the great things about it. And frankly, after having to toss more than 15 headsets in my time, I appreciate the reliability and consistency of the Plantronics RIG.
