Great rig. Unfortunately one of the biggest selling features is the dolby. Is doesn't work. Cant down load it. Ive spoken to the manufacture multiple times and they have no idea whats going on with the app. And seem to have no plans on fixing it.

Bought these thinking they were going to be top quality with the price tag they had. Utterly disappointed. Use mainly for CoD and the sound is muffled. Can’t hear party chat when anything else is going on. Moving on to a set of Astros

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback on our RIG 800LX SE, however we're sorry to hear about your experience. In order to troubleshoot this issue, you might want to cycle through the EQ modes by tapping on the EQ button and hopefully you'll have a better experience. Resetting the connection between the receiver and adapter might also help. To do so: connect the USB receiver to another USB port on the console. Make sure the device switch, on the back of the USB receiver, is set to Gaming Console before you connect it to a different USB port in the Xbox One. On the USB receiver, press and hold the link button until you see the light flashing red and blue. On the headset, hold the power switch in the upmost position until it starts alternating red and blue. Once the light is off, the procedure is complete. You might also want to try placing the wireless transmitter as far away as possible from other wireless enabled devices. Lastly, please test your headset with a PC to see if you get the same results. Please note this unit has a one-year limited warranty from date of purchase. We will forward your comments to our team as a consideration. Feel free to contact our Customer Care Team at: https://www.plantronics.com/us/en/support/contact if you require further assistance! plantronics

    Microphone failed under 4 months

Purchased item in February and it worked great for about 2-3 months when I put it on my TV stand to charge after using it. I didn't use my XBOX for about a month and when I went back to play it my headset microphone would no longer work. The item wasn't damaged or even being used when it broke, was literally sitting on a shelf. Plantronics said they will warranty my item but I have to pay the shipping back to California, $20!!. Very disappointing considering the product failed without my doing. If I could do it again I would just get a Turtle Beach like all my friends who have had no issues. TLDR: Stopped working in under 4 months with no apparent cause

Hi Jason. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback on our RIG 800LX SE, however we're very sorry to hear that the microphone is not working. In order to troubleshoot your microphone please make sure to configure the volume levels on both headset and console. If this doesn't work then please unplug all the cables from headset system and make sure the adapter is reconnected in the correct port. Lastly, please try to re-link the headset to the adapter. To do so: On the USB receiver, press and hold the link button until you see the light flashing red and blue. On the headset, hold the power switch in the upmost position until it starts alternating red and blue. The headset will be linked once the LED stops flashing. Lastly, if none of the previous instructions solve the issue then most likely there is a problem with the unit and should be replaced. Please note this unit has a one-year limited warranty from date of purchase. Plantronics sends the replacement without any shipping cost, but the delivery of the defective unit no pre-paid lable is provided.

    Great, Lightweight, Powerful

These headphones were just what I was looking for. After trying almost everything out on the market, including the Turtle Beach Stealth 700, Stealth 800X and the Astro A40 wired with Mix AMP...., I finally came across these headphones and I am glad that I did. They are extremely lightweight, give very powerful, clear sound, connect immediately to the console and have had no issues so far! They also come with a free code for Dolby Atmos, for ultimate sound quality in 4K! They are extremely comfortable to wear, and do not drop out. I like the ability to flip the mic up to mute, instead of trying to hunt for a button. They are truly wireless, only requiring a dongle to be plugged into the Xbox. No wires to the controller! Thank you Plantronics for making a great headset at a great price!

    Great Headset!

Picked up both a RIG 800 and an Astro A50 to compare the two. Nod goes to the RIG for a much better mic, and to the A50 for better incoming audio. After testing both out, I couldn’t justify double the price for the A50. Had I, I would have kept those instead. Comprehensively, the RIG 800 is the best all-around gaming headset I’ve owned. Extremely comfortable, battery lasts forever, and mute/voice tones are great. This set would be unbeatable had it a little better speaker set up for incoming audio (bass isn’t that great at all, can be a little annoying at times). However, given the price and the $299 tag on the A50 - these win hands down.

I bought this headset about a year and half ago, and everything was great with the headset and features. However, as most other reviews have said, the mic has started to fail. It begins to crackle with static when you mute/unmute the mic, and now only works in specific positions. The headset has been well taken care of, but very clearly a design flaw. The warranty is only 1 year, so keep that in mind when shelling out $150 for this headset.

Price A+ Comfort A+ Sound A Easy to setup A+ Battery life A+ Time for ears to heat up A+ Free Atmos code A+ The only negative thing for me would be no optical cable passthrough. I like to use headphones to play games and also to watch tv while my girl sleeps. This Won’t be a negative for most so I highly recommend

Stay Away from this headset, ive owned this product a total of 3 months and the mic cuts off all the time. if you feel that this product is associated to Platronics it is not. They sold to Nacon, a European company. The support is terrible and only offer an email address to contact them with. I've attempted to email the company a number of times without any response. Best Buy should quit carrying this product if the company will not honor warranty.

Worked great for the first year but now the mic does not work at all. Makes loud static noise that everyone in the party can hear. Contacted the Nacon for warranty and never received a response. Would expect for the price that the headset would have lasted a lot longer.

    Excellent headphones

These headphones are comfortable, sound great and the battery life is exceptional. Also, it is a bonus that I am able to use them with both my PC and Xbox One X too. Although I own other headsets (Sennheiser GSP 550, Lucid Sound LS35X) I prefer the RIG 800LX to my other more expensive headphones for long gaming sessions since they are more comfortable due to their light weight and low clamp force. I highly recommend these headphones since they sound great in games as well as other media.

Hi! Thank you for your review on our RIG 800LX headset, however we are sorry to hear about your experience. If you are experiencing connectivity issues with the headset, you may want to establish a new connection with the adapter. To do so: 1)Unplug the wireless adapter from your gaming console and restart it. 2) Reconnect the adapter and press and hold down the linking button on your adapter until it starts flashing an alternative red and blue. 4) Once flashing red and blue please put your headset in pairing mode by pressing and holding the power switch towards the linking icon until it starts flashing red and blue as well. 5) Once the headset stops flashing and the LED light on the adapter is solid purple means they are successfully connected. You may also want to test the headset connected to your PC to completely isolate the issue. Our intention is to provide the highest quality products to our customers and we thank you for bringing this to our attention. Remember this unit counts with a limited warranty since the first day of purchase. I had my headset for about 11 months, then the mic boom stopped working properly. I sent it in under warranty. The mic that they sent me was the wrong model and didn’t have mic monitoring. I tried to reach out to them about getting that replaced but they never got back to me through multiple mediums. Now a few months later, the replacement mic has begun to develop the same problem as the original. Save your money.

FIrst thing I noticed was how comfortable the ear cushions were. They are very soft and not to heavy. These head phones do have allow for you to adjust where the ear phones sit on your head. Syncing the head phones up with Dolby Atmos was kind of a struggle (But I sometimes lack patience and just wanted to use my headphones). The sound quality and ability to hear slight movements is incredible. I played Destiny 2 with these headphones and felt like I was right in the action. Would recommend these to anyone looking for a good quality wireless gaming headphone without having to go way top end to do so.

I should have listened to the one star reviews. Really loved it before the problems started....my mic would cut out, sometimes my party would continually hear static, I don't dare flip the mic up to mute any longer because I know it will just make things worse. I guess this is the gamble with do you get the extended warranty or do you not. I should have on this one so I could buy some other brand.
