Amazing set!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Obviously price tag jumps out, this thing isn't cheap! But if you're a dedicated gamer, get some good stuff. This doesn't disappoint in any way. For me, the best part was no more cords and wires! Done! It's glorious to have freedom of headset not tied into the controller in any way. Second, the quality of audio in on point. The Dolby audio code to leverage enhanced sound makes me feel immersed into the game like I've never experienced. The feel on your head is great, it;s not heavy or bulky and is a solid fit all around. It's so easy to turn on/off and get connected every time. And last, the battery is fantastic. I probably charge it each week for 3/4 hours for a full charge and get maybe 10+ hours out of it before needing a charge. Overall, everything is quality about this set and worth the investment!

It worked really well until it didn't
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The headset worked very well at first. The sound was great, it was decent on comfort, the wireless range was good, and the batter lasted a long time. In less than six months the headset would no longer charge. According to the warranty it is a year or more but according to their website when I registered the warranty started and expired on the same day.... 7 days after I bought the headset.

Mic sounds terrible in party chat
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The headband fits very comfortably on your head. I love the wireless design and how easy it is to set up. But the sound was very subpar. My wired turtle beaches I got for just over 50 dollars sound considerably better than these for both in game audio in games like call of duty and in party chat. Now this brings me to the main reason I returned them after 1 day, the mic. In party chat, my friends said I sound like I am talking into a bottle. The mic sounds absolutely horrible in party chat. The mic on a 20 dollar walmart xbox mic sounds a thousand times better than on these $150 headphones, which is pathetic. I had read good reviews about these but was highly disappointed by the audio quality and especially by the mic.

Very Comfortable With a Glaring Flaw
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted to love this headset. I had the Astro A20 and tried them for a few weeks but my friends were raving about these so I gave them a shot. They are very very comfortable but sound falls way short in my opinion. The distortion is unbearable. I constantly found myself adjusting the chat/game mix. I wanted to love these but I exchanged them in the end for the A20’s again. Best decision for me. Also the Dolby surround did make a difference but the sound was not there

Posted .Thank you for your honest review on our RIG 800LX SE. We're sorry to hear you've had audio issues. In order to troubleshoot the unit you might want to try resetting the connection between the headset and the receiver. To do so: Make sure the device switch, on the back of the USB receiver, is set to Gaming Console before you connect it to a different USB port in the Xbox One. On the USB receiver, press and hold the link button until you see the light flashing red and blue. On the headset, hold the power switch in the upmost position until it starts alternating red and blue. Once the lights are off the procedure is complete. You might also try adjusting the console settings to see if you get a better experience. DO NOT BUY WITHOUT WARRANTY
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ok so let me start this review by saying this. I never ever ever write reviews on products that i purchase. However when i make a decision to purchase an item i do read a lot of reviews which for this headset were overwhelmingly positive. i owned the headset for about a year and a half, and previously owned 3 pairs of afterglow 3 headsets which kept breaking. Immediately i could tell the difference between these and the afterglow lvl 3! i was amazed and felt like i could hear in COD so much better. As time went on though i started to play other games Rainbow six, Apex Legends, Pubg, and at my peak i was playing 2-3 hours a day and then pulling 12 hour sessions on the weekends when i did not work. I am a career 2.4 k/d in WW2 and a 2.5 k/d in BO4, keep this in mind for later. Moving on, The battery life on these was fantastic and never ran out. But then when i switched games from cod to Pubg i was having a terrible and i mean terrible time telling where directional sounds where coming from. i mean it was bad i would say hey gunshots 175 degrees on the hill, and my team is screaming at me they are 10 feet in front of me, which it turns out i was always wrong. I could not get directional sound to save myself. i tried everything i tried dolby atmos i tried stereo sound i tried it all and yet no marbles. after months and months of just let down and getting called every name in the book by the squad i swapped over to play rainbow six. and again same issues, just terrible directional sound and honestly i could not tell for the life of me where things were. The final straw was this great new game that came out you may have heard of it APEX Legends. I tell you what directional sound, not a chance, footsteps? you wish, and finally if you had the chat mix dial anything above 1/3 towards game it would distort so badly that i could not hear anything at all which as you can imagine was super frustrating trying to give and receive callouts in a gunfight. It was so bad that i lost my drive to play xbox anymore. I paid about 150 if memory serves and then bought the protection plan on top of this so it was an investment. After so long of being just utterly let down and disappointed in every aspect of the headset i went back to best buy to try some other headsets. "Turtle beach stealth 700's" hot garbage, "hyper x clouds" miserable poor directional sound, astro a40TR " absolutely steller in almost every way" and finally settling down with some astro a50 gen 3's. in the end i payed about 310 large with the warranty if memory serves for the a50 gen 3's and i do not regeret my purchase in the slightest. hands down the best headset i have ever owned and its not close. If there is two things i have learned in my headset debacle. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! and also BUY THE WARRANTY EVERY SINGLE TIME!

Not worth it.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was getting these to replace my razer threshers as so many people had told me these where amazing. I took them out of the box hooked them up and put them on. I will say this they are the most comfortable headset I have ever used hands down. The wireless range is also good. But the sound... well it's lacking in quality and that's the most important part. I listened to a few videos from the Dolby Atmos for Xbox app and it just didn't sound right I also tried out the 4 different presets on it still did not improve. I then put back on my razers and watched the same videos and it was a huge noticeable difference. Base and deep sounds where full, higher tones weren't crackly. Needless to say I put these back in the box and will be returning them. If you don't know any better or haven't had any better I'm sure you will love them but for roughly the same price get yourself a pair of Razer Thresher headphones and you won't be disappointed. It might be that the razers use 50mm drivers while RIGs use 40mm drivers I don't know but I can say I won't be looking at RIGs again.

Nice sound but the boom mic
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Comfortable headset but after some time the boom mic will wear the wired connection inside the device and make the mic inoperable and static noise in your headphones. I had maybe two years of use.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this headset a few days ago and as soon as I took it out the box it had a static sound in the left ear piece. Great headset but same issue
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I honestly love this headset. Great sound and perfect directional sound. But this is my second headset and the exact same issue has showed up. The mic started crackling then you can't mute it then it stops working. It takes about a week after the first symthom until it just doesn't work. Both headsets lasted about 9 months. Unfortunately I will not be buying another pair.

So many issues...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off everything was all fine and dandy the headset sounded great, until I downloaded the Dolby software, it made it distort and sound so bad. I did turn it off and it helped a little bit. I have had this headset for more than 5 months. When you get a headset you are expecting for it to work well for years to come. No this one, just recently it started cutting in and out. I tried unplugging the wireless connector from my Xbox and that didn't really help. I started to just deal with it, now today the headset started screeching and making radio sounding noises very loudly and would not stop even after restarting. Also it will say "headset not connected" while it is still connected, and would turn up the volume very high by itself. I had high expectations for this headset and am very dissatisfied with it and ruined wireless headsets for me all together. Not a bad price point for a wireless headset but for it to be having these issues it really should not cost this much.

Good Audio, Bad Mic
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The overall quality of the headset is great as well as the audio from the headset. There are also controls on the headset for game audio and chat audio. The biggest downfall with the headset is that with the chat audio you hear yourself from the microphone. This mic audio is also overpowering and makes the headset almost unusable.

Sound quality issues
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this headset and gave it a week. Setup was easy, sound seemed okay at first. After playing a game, I found that I had to adjust the chat/game volume CONSTANTLY. Then, when I would get into a FPS battle, the headset would overpower the chat, and cut out. I read up that this is very common, and the distortion could be solved by turning the settings all the way to chat, and slowly increase the game. This worked, unless you wanted to actually hear the game over the chat. Then you would have to adjust again. On occasion, when the battles would take place, the head set would become overly loud and completely glitch out and it sounded like a tin-can in space. I returned these for the TB Stealth 700, they are 10xs better.
