      Hello Cobra501,
We are happy to hear you loved the sound quality on the RIG 900 Max wireless headset but we apologize that you were expecting simultaneous dual wireless. We do not advertise RIG 900 Max to have simultaneous wireless, streaming music from your mobile while also receiving game audio, because the product was not designed for this. RIG 900 Max, however, does have dual wireless that allows you to receive calls during a game if the mode is set to "DUAL". Or you can set the mode to GAME only or BLUETOOTH only. We hope that clarifies for others. Thank you for giving RIG gaming audio a try. nacon-fr

For the first few months everything was fine but this headset stopped charging on the charger somehow one of the little prongs that magnetized to keep it charging is stuck in and it doesn’t charge anymore. On top of this I can be in the middle of a game and the headset turn off. I’d then after to manually turn them back on to continue my game. I can also be listening to my favorite music and comes out staticky.

We apologize you had an issue using the RIG 900 Max. It's not clear by your message what device you were having an issue using the chat on so we suggest you contact Nacon Customer Support at support.us@nacongaming.com for further assistance or check out our RIG 900 Max setup video on YouTube. This wireless headset is compatible with PlayStation PS4 and PS5 as well as docked Nintendo Switch via the wireless transmitter or undocked via Bluetooth. And many other devices. On the wireless transmitter, there is a switch. When set to the console controller symbol, it's in Xbox mode. The switch will only be in this position for Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S. When the switch is set to "PC", it works on all other platforms. This is described in the included Quick Start Guide. Please note, Bluetooth mode is for Nintendo Switch and mobile devices like iPhone and Android smartphones. Bluetooth is not for connection to Xbox or PlayStation. For that, you want to use the 2.4GHz digital wireless transmitter for lag-free gaming audio. We hope that helps. Thank you for choosing RIG gaming audio from Nacon. nacon-fr

I have been using the rig series for years, coming from the 800lx, I was hoping these would see an improvement. First point of annoyance is the charging cradle, it requires two hands and full focus to set it in properly, surely they could have found a better way. On my old headset I used a magnetic charging cable which way more convenient. These feel similar, but going to a button instead of a switch is a real pain for changing settings in the go, especially chat mixer while gaming. I am having random disconnects from the USB, which re-pairing can't seem to solve. The Dual mode doesn't allow Bluetooth audio from my phone as I was led to believe, so basically my phone is silent because it thinks audio is playing on my headset, but it only plays while in Bluetooth mode. I was hoping to listen to music or podcasts while playing video games. I've had the set for a week and will give them a few more weeks before returning them to best buy. I bought the same set for my daughter and she's having the Bluetooth issue as well, but there are no issues with disconnecting, so that might be isolated to my headset.

      Hi Phil,
We apologize the RIG 900 Max is not working out as you expected. Random disconnects is an issue and shouldn't be happening. But please make sure there is some space between your WiFi router and your heaset/wireless transmitter setup as they both may be operating on 2.4GHz and interfering with the wireless connection. Regarding dual mode, this is a dual wireless headset - it does not have simultaneous wireless. So what that means is that the headset will be connected to both the 2.4GHz wireless transmitter in your console and Bluetooth wireless to your smartphone, but only one wireless link is active at any one time. So if you are gaming and a call comes in, it will pause your game audio and allow you to take a call. But you cannot stream separate audio from your phone while game audio is active. We hope that helps. If you need additional assistance, please contact Nacon Customer Support at support.us@nacongaming.com. Thank you for choosing RIG gaming audio from Nacon. nacon-fr

      Hello DavidD,
We apologize you are having an issue with your RIG 900 Max microphone volume. Have you downloaded the free RIG 900 Max Navigator app from the Google Play or Apple store? One of the features of this app is microphone gain adjustment - this allows you to make the microphone transmit louder or softer depending on your preference. Often, there are in-game adjustments to mic volume as well - not just in the gaming console. If neither of these helps, you can contact Nacon Customer Support for further assistance at support.us@nacongaming.com. Thank you for choosing RIG gaming audio from Nacon. nacon-fr

I was really excited to use the new 900 Max HX Wireless headset by RIG. Having used the previous model, I was very curious to see and experience any differences. I’ve been using this for the past two weeks with gaming on my PC and X-Box, as well as casual video watching and conference calls. These are by far, my favorite headset and the most comfortable. This comes with a USB-A dongle that can be switched for PC and gaming consoles. The dock ing station does charge the headset. The dongle can be inserted into the base where it can transmit the signal to the headset. The docking station can be charged separately with the included power cord. When using the headset, it is rated for about 50 hours in wireless. It can be dual-paired, where it can be paired to your phone and you would get a notification of a message, and you can switch between listening to the phone and then switch back to your game. It doesn’t do it simultaneously so be aware. Where I feel this excels compared to my other headsets is how comfortable this is when wearing. The ear cups are soft, covers my ears and provides comfort on them even when wearing my glasses. The ear cups can be adjusted to either Small, Medium, or Large. I placed them on the Medium setting. There is a spring steel headband with suspicions strap that rests on my head, which also stays in place around my ear. The mic is decent, with the mic being able to move up or down. When in the “up” position, it automatically mutes, which is important to me. My voice comes out crisp and clear to those on the other end. The sound quality is excellent, whether you are playing FPS, car racing, or Sports gaming, I felt completely immersed in the game. The Dolby Atmos sounding is amazing to have on these. The RIG 900 Max app is where I feel that this offers a better sounding experience compared to my other devices. Here, I am able to use different EQ settings for the best quality sound for my taste. I am a novice when it comes to this, so I did not feel comfortable adjusting the settings for myself and really leaned upon many of the preset ones. Overall, probably my favorite sounding head set for my gaming needs.

      Hi Jake,
Thank you for giving RIG gaming audio a try. But we have to admit, that is rather interesting feedback as the max volume tests very high on RIG 900 MAX HX. Please note that volume can be adjusted at several points in a gaming setup - on the host device (console or PC), on the audio device (headset in this case) and even in the software itself. Most video game software includes volume control options, allowing players to adjust the overall game volume, as well as specific audio elements like music, sound effects, and voice chat. The 900 MAX HX also has a feature called game/chat audio balance for Xbox. When you press the multifunction button first, you can then use the volume dial to adjust your balance of game audio and chat audio. If the game audio is balanced too low, it can be perceived that the headset isn't loud enough overall. And finally, for the 900 MAX, audio can be adjusted in the RIG 900 Navigator App. Hopefully this helps. If additional assistance is needed, Nacon Customer Support is available via email at support.us@nacongaming.com or via phone at 1-833-622-6687. Ive had the Astro a50s and the Nova Pro Wireless for my xbox series x. However, the Rig 900 is my favorite headset for gaming. First, these are incredibly lightweight and comfortable which is great for longer gaming sessions. Second, the sound is amazing. More warmer sound profile but absolutely perfect balance between bass treble and mids. Not war piercing brigjt like niva pro or boomy like astro. Perfect balance. Oh and the battery lasts for days

      Hi Anto,
We apologize you were having an issue with your RIG 900 MAX headset. Were you using it on an Xbox console or PC? First off, make sure the switch on the wireless adapter is set properly - console controller image for Xbox or USB for anything else. If using on Xbox, you may need to go into the audio settings to manually select "Headset" under Party Chat Output in the Xbox volume audio settings. Check out our RIG 900 MAX setup video on the RIG Gaming YouTube channel for more info on this. And for PC, likely you have to go into the audio settings and manually select "RIG 900 MX" for both output device (headset speakers) and input device (headset mic). Hope that helps. If not, Nacon Customer Support is available to help via email at support.us@nacongaming.com. Thank you for chosing RIG gaming audio from Nacon. nacon-fr

RIG has quickly become my favorite brand of gaming headset. In my opinion, they have hit the nail on the head by producing a well rounded, great gaming headset. I have owned wired and wireless models. I have never had any issues with set up or use. As a brand, I think their products are of great quality, perfectly priced, and are continuously reliable despite heavy use. The RIG 900 MAX, as well as any other RIG headset I've used, is very comfortable especially for long gaming sessions. The over-the-ear design allows for hours of gaming without becoming uncomfortable. The part that rests on your head is barely noticeable. The headset over-all is very light weight. Connectivity is simple and reliable. Connecting the RIG to your system only takes a few minutes. I've been using it for a few weeks now and I haven't had to reconnect. Battery life is good. I haven't had any issues with battery life and keep it on the charger when not in use. The sound quality is amazing. The Dolby Atmos software is a game changer. It delivers crisp audio and is so detailed you can tell if your enemies are coming from the left or right. Atmos is an immersive audio experience that is super realistic.

RIG. A premium gaming accessory manufacturer; one of fairly generic packaging. An exterior colorful box that practically collapses on itself when emptied of its contents. With a chipboard mold, possibly of recycled materials, as the accessory cradle. With that out of the way, the RIG 900 Max HX is a premium headset loaded with features. In the box, you get the headphones, dock, USB dongle, USB cable, stickers, and manual. Initially, taking the headset out of the box, I really wasn't impressed. It isn't the most aesthetically pleasing design. But after fitting them, I had a change of heart. They are comfortable and don't give a sense of being restrictive, a feeling I get with other headsets. The RIG 900 is made with the intent of being used with Xbox and PCs, although it does support a variety of other devices that work with Bluetooth. The instructions included with this device could use additional clarification in this regard. That's due to the very short, brief 1 or 2 word explanations and depictions that make up the setup guide. This had me jumping right in with Bluetooth, as I hadn't originally realized that the USB dongle was a must if you wanted the full software experience. Looking at the Dolby Atmos card for setup information, I jumped over to the download page, and while downloading and unpacking into my computer, I gave some streaming video a try, locally saved music files, and let a video game run benchmarks so it would generate sound. It was okay, but far from the best. Having Dolby Atmos installed, I launched it only to find out I couldn't use it unless I purchased a license or used the free trial. Going back to the information card, I confirmed the text "included with". I didn't understand what was going on and ultimately opted for the trial. For clarity, Bluetooth doesn't detect or register as a licensed device. The only method is by sticking the dongle in a USB port and setting the slider to PC. Only then will it "automatically register", as the info card states. Going with the trial, it seems I may have inadvertently nuked my license, as any other Atmos app on a different computer brings up the same thing: "x days left in trial". It might just be linked to my own Microsoft account, and a login with a different account on a different device may result in automatic activation, but I didn't test this to confirm. The Dolby Atmos app unlocks many features, from media-based presets to entire custom experiences. For simplicity, I used predefined presets for the media type I was trying to play. In video games, this thing shines. I gave Starfield, Armored Core 6, and Assassins Creed Odyssey a try. It's an explosion of audio tones that bring the scenes in front of your eyes to life. They revealed many sounds, from rustling brushes and grass to cosmic sounds I had not heard from ordinary speakers. Whispering in the background, gunfire in the distant foreground, and footsteps from every direction. This very much enriched the gaming experience by a mile. I can only assume that for those who enjoy FPS titles such as COD, Destiny, Battlefield, and many others, you'll definitely enjoy hearing enemy player footsteps around you. The mic has an auto-on/off function that triggers when you flip the mic up or down. It also carries an audible tone in the headset to let you know that it has been changed. This makes it useful for gaming with a group while carrying out a conversation locally. The charging dock makes keeping it charged easy, as it gives you a set-and-forget option. No more searching or reaching for a USB cable tucked behind your display or hidden in a drawer. But with 50 hours of battery life, you may not need it that often, perhaps once a week, depending on your gaming habits. The headset also has the option to plug in a USB-C cable if you would rather charge it that way. I will say that the dock isn't entirely to my liking. Furthermore, the charging connector doesn't always tend to sit on the contacts and requires you to readjust it, assuming you were paying attention to the indicator on the base lighting up. If you missed it, you may come back to your next gaming session to find that the headset is on a very low charge. With the positive remarks out of the way, I want to bring forward any negatives. -The headset is simplistic; compared to other similar headsets, this one lacks some customization from the headset controls. You have three buttons and a scroll wheel. Others I own or have owned vary with three or more buttons that typically carry double functions and a set of scroll wheels. -Mic monitoring isn't mentioned in any piece of documentation I've looked through. Based on other comments and reviews, these settings exist somewhere. -A work injury has caused medical issues that have numbed the sensitivity in my fingertips. The texture on the shell of the headset makes locating the buttons an issue. If you don't have a similar issue, you won't find this point relevant. -Adjusting the audio mix from game chat to game sounds doesn't exist on PC. You have to bring up the overlay to adjust that on the headset. The manual adds instructions on how to do that on Xbox. -Mic is fixed on the left side. Other than flipping it up or down, there is no other movement. Overall, I love the rich audio tones this brings, along with the comfort of the headset. But I'm a little peeved at the lack of documentation this carries. This is worth 4-stars.

      Hello Khwame,
We apologize that the RIG 900 Max did not work out for you. The 900 MAX series is built on the same acoustic foundation as the RIG 800 PRO series. So it should sound at least as good, if not better. And then this headset audio can be enhanced using the RIG 900 Navigator app on iOS or Android to adjust to preset or custom EQ. It sounds like possibly you were experiencing some wireless interference since distortion is not typical at any volume level. Before you take it back, hopefully you will contact Nacon Customer support at support.us@nacongaming.com or at 1-833-622-6687 for troubleshooting assistance. Thank you for giving RIG audio a try. nacon-fr

The RIG Max HX wireless Over the Ear headset is exactly what we were looking for when wanting a headset to game with. The whole family has used them when we game. They are durable, comfortavle, adjustable, and sound great when playing. I love that it has the charging dock with it so that we can charge it quick and easily while also storing it when we arent playing opposed to just laying them down on the desk. It does have bluetooth function allowing you to take incoming calls which is one of my favorite features because now my husband cant ignore my phone calls when hes gaming! The sound quality for this headset is on par.... clear, loud, and no static. My son had a hard time finding a headset that didnt make his head sore and after uaing these they quickly became his favorite pair because these are lightweight and more comfortable for him. The microphone on it can be maneuvered up or down and doesnt get in the way when talking. Overall we love this gaming headset for the spund quality and its comfort.

This is my second set of RIG headphones, and in my opinion the RIG 900 Max HX Gaming Headset is a good upgrade to my former pair and superior to some of the other headphones I have tried and owned. Out of the box, they maintain the typical oversized headphone look. The set is adjustable, and fits well over my big head and can go down to fit my 1st grader. So extremely adjustable. The cups are very comfortable, the foam feeling closer to a gel almost. So for this review, I am going to break it down by Pro and Cons, and then a summary at the end with my conclusion. Pros: Comfort: I really liked how these fit around my glasses. I hate the way some headphones press on my head and dig my glasses into the sides of my face. With some headphones my glasses would rest above the cups. With these I am good. Also they are very light weight, love that. Sound: First, I always like when you can customize sound. Even better with an app. The Dolby audio is well balanced and sounds great. I am no audiophile, but I have a variety of headphones and can tell the difference between high end and low end products. This fits securely in the middle if not higher. Price: At $250, you are getting your money’s worth plus. These are priced fairly and with all you are getting I think I would even be willing to pay a little more. I see some people referring to these are premium and saying this price is a premium price. I don’t agree with that, as we all know there are some that are way more expense. I will say again that I think these are priced correctly and I think they are worth more than you are paying. Charging options: The headphones have two options for charging. With the provided charging station or there is a USB-C plug you can use. I have tried both and it will be up to you which one you like more. I do like having the stand. Multitasking: You can be playing a game and take a call with the same set of headphones, switching back and forth. You can literally answer the call and go right back to your gameplay once you hang up. I think this is a feature that some would like, and it is cool since they will have the option. I personally would rather take them off and use the phone or my earbuds. Battery life: 50 hours of battery. Enough said. Cons: Charging base: The charging base is rather large and takes up a little more space on my station than I want it to. So, I moved the base to a side table and have it there. But this is a very minor issue. At the end of the day, would I recommend this to someone?Absolutely. Again, this is my second pair of RIG gaming headphones. Love my other ones, and love these even more. I recommend these for any gamer looking to get their game going at another level.
