He went back to his original pair of Turtle Beach 700 Max. He said that he had problems pairing them with all of his devices. Maybe he was just more familiar with the others. They may work great for others, but they didn't for him.

I was trying to connect with the xbox series x and it was NOT very simple. I had to install the phone application to update and stuff and also test microphone but no response on microphone. Returned the next day. I’d say it is a little over complicated product trying to make it a fit it for all.

We apologize the RIG 900 MAX HX didn't work out for you. The Xbox Series X or S should automatically detect the wireless headset connection when you plug in the wireless transmitter and use the headsets speaker and mic for audio output and input respectively. In the rare case it doesn't automatically detect, you can manually select the RIG 900 MAX speaker (audio output) and mic (audio input) in the Xbox audio settings. See our setup video on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KHfWcHeLkjc for instruction on how to manually connect via the wireless transmitter connection to your Xbox console. Thank you... Wish you could have provided more detail to know what features you prefer on our older model (I assume the RIG 800 PRO HX) over the RIG 900 MAX HX. The step-up from 800 PRO HX to 900 MAX HX includes teh metal headband, the dual wireless integration so you can connect to consoles via 2.4GHz or you can connect via Bluetooth to devices like Steam Deck, iPhone, Android and other mobile gaming devices. The RIG 900 MAX HX app works flawlessly with my iPhone 16. A couple of tips: If you have other paired headsets nearby, turn them off so they don't interfere with pairing your phone to your RIG 900 MAX. Next, make sure the headset is set to "DUAL" or "BLUETOOTH". If it is set to "GAME", it will only connect to the included 2.4GHZ wireless transmitter for lag-free console or PC gaming. The RIG 900 MAX Navigator app is available free from the Apple or Google play store. When you open the app, as long as your headset is in DUAL or BLUETOOTH mode, you should connect to the app automatically. Apply any updates, if available. If you need additional assistance, Nacon Customer Support is available to help at 1-833-622-6687 or via email at support.us@nacongaming.com.
Okay at first

Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.For the first few months everything was fine but this headset stopped charging on the charger somehow one of the little prongs that magnetized to keep it charging is stuck in and it doesn’t charge anymore. On top of this I can be in the middle of a game and the headset turn off. I’d then after to manually turn them back on to continue my game. I can also be listening to my favorite music and comes out staticky.

We do not advertise RIG 900 Max to have simultaneous wireless, streaming music from your mobile while also receiving game audio, because the product was not designed for this. RIG 900 Max, however, does have dual wireless that allows you to receive calls during a game if the mode is set to "DUAL". Or you can set the mode to GAME only or BLUETOOTH only. First point of annoyance is the charging cradle, it requires two hands and full focus to set it in properly, surely they could have found a better way. On my old headset I used a magnetic charging cable which way more convenient. These feel similar, but going to a button instead of a switch is a real pain for changing settings in the go, especially chat mixer while gaming. I am having random disconnects from the USB, which re-pairing can't seem to solve. The Dual mode doesn't allow Bluetooth audio from my phone as I was led to believe, so basically my phone is silent because it thinks audio is playing on my headset, but it only plays while in Bluetooth mode. I was hoping to listen to music or podcasts while playing video games. I've had the set for a week and will give them a few more weeks before returning them to best buy. I bought the same set for my daughter and she's having the Bluetooth issue as well, but there are no issues with disconnecting, so that might be isolated to my headset.

We apologize the RIG 900 Max is not working out as you expected. Random disconnects is an issue and shouldn't be happening. But please make sure there is some space between your WiFi router and your heaset/wireless transmitter setup as they both may be operating on 2.4GHz and interfering with the wireless connection. Regarding dual mode, this is a dual wireless headset - it does not have simultaneous wireless. So what that means is that the headset will be connected to both the 2.4GHz wireless transmitter in your console and Bluetooth wireless to your smartphone, but only one wireless link is active at any one time. So if you are gaming and a call comes in, it will pause your game audio and allow you to take a call. But you cannot stream separate audio from your phone while game audio is active. One of the features of this app is microphone gain adjustment - this allows you to make the microphone transmit louder or softer depending on your preference. Often, there are in-game adjustments to mic volume as well - not just in the gaming console. This wireless headset is compatible with PlayStation PS4 and PS5 as well as docked Nintendo Switch via the wireless transmitter or undocked via Bluetooth. And many other devices. On the wireless transmitter, there is a switch. When set to the console controller symbol, it's in Xbox mode. The switch will only be in this position for Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S. When the switch is set to "PC", it works on all other platforms. This is described in the included Quick Start Guide. Please note, Bluetooth mode is for Nintendo Switch and mobile devices like iPhone and Android smartphones. Bluetooth is not for connection to Xbox or PlayStation.
