Made a difference for MLB the Show 2021

I have to admit, usually I would go for the Xbox controllers that are made for the new Series S or X (use it on a S). Battery is not a huge concern to me as I recharge. So initially I was apprehensive on why this controller would be beneficial but as most gamers know you cannot have enough controllers due to eventually you need to replace them. Anyway my first thoughts were that it is well made, packaged nicely with care, beautiful breaded cable and nice light but not cheap feel to it. Way lighter then the Xbox controllers with batteries. What was also cool is how long the breaded cable is close to 10 feet… Now what made me stay with this controller over my wireless ones is the game I’m hooked on currently which is the show 2021. When you are pitching in this game every little movement or mistake you make in your rhythm or finger move is huge and with the Xbox controllers I would see a little wiggle or deviation sometimes that would hurt me. This Nacon controller seems to be more forgiving or… accurate? Not sure how to describe it except to say that my pitching and hitting is better using this controller. So I’m sticking with it and have to say I recommend it as it is a very nice surprise for a wired controller! Well done.

This controller is packed with features at a great price. It has a high quality feel to it and good weight too. The only problem I have is that it feels slightly awkward in my hand. It does not feel as natural as the Microsoft official controller, but it is not terrible. The features are very nice. You must download the official software to to program the controller. Once you do you are able to adjust the sensitivity of the trigger buttons and the thumb joysticks. The best feature is the Dolby Atmos sound. I plugged in headphones right out of the box and was unimpressed. I tried it out with Injustice Gods Among Us. The fight scenes would not even play on the headphones. Then I installed the controller software as well as the Dolby Sound software and set everything up in the apps. Then I retried the game and WOW what a difference. The sound was night and day. All of the fighting modes had sound and it was very rich and full. I can honestly say that it immersed me into the game. I loved it! I was using some Senheiser HD headphones. I then put on a 4K movie while using the headphones with the Atmos sound on, and it was amazing. I love the Atmos software as it digitally enhances the sound to allow a pleasurable experience. I can honestly say that I am very pleased with the headphones and I will be using them with the headphones plugged into it at all times. It provides such a great overall experience.

I was hesitant at first due to the price point of this controller. Typically, less expensive controllers feel cheaper overall. Buttons are mushy and do not feel as positive when pressing, etc. That is not the case with this new Nacon Pro Compact! The buttons are solid, there is no side to side play. There is no rattling, and overall build quality feels surprisingly high at this price point. The triggers are also impressive. Joysticks are smooth and quiet with no noticeable play. The overall size of this controller feels a tad smaller than the standard XBox controller, so this may be a great option for kids or people with smaller hands. It kind of reminds me of a PlayStation controller size-wise, but with XBox button layout. Feels great in the hand and the Pro Compact app on PC and in the XBox App Store offers a surprising amount of customization. Button mapping, and joystick curves can all be changed in the app. These are features that I have previously only seen with much more expensive, or "pro" controllers. Definitely a great buy at this price!

The controller has been phenomenal and feel good in the hand. The ergonomics are phenomenally good. At first reaction I happen to enjoy the textured surfaces of the controller and thumb sticks that your uniformly really fit with mine. They made a really made a good design Xbox Series S/X controller that universally work with both Xbox consoles and Windows PC. It’s smooth to the touch and the buttons are clicky with no delay. Easy to just plug and play. Beautifully made while also getting the job done. There isn’t too much to you can get wrong. They allow you to make custom profiles for your button layout on the controller which is fun and easy to do. Nacon added the cable is long enough to reach at 9ft. Which is awesome for setups that requires a long cable. I mean we tested for Xbox and it work with the Dolby Atmos app just fine. They provide you with a free trial period of Dolby Atmos for Xbox. Best example of this would be Gears of War 5. When sound comes out from every direction this headset, bullets zips by your ears. The controller also work on PC as well without a problem. Overall I love the products, they are well made and affordable. It’s basically enough to get you going without a lot of flash. Not wireless but I don’t considered out of drawback at all. The low latency makes up for that. Not sure what they could add to these controllers to make them better but I give it a solid 5 stars.

I think the real appeal of this controller is the custom options for button layout, dead zone and sensitivity. The controller also allows for Dolby Atmos with headphones plugged into the controller. The controller is a little smaller than average, but unless you have very large hands it shouldn't be a problem. The buttons are also larger than normal, so that does take a little to get used to. Overall, just the fact that it doesn't require batteries and performs well makes it worth a buy. It doesn't have the most premium feel to it from the build quality, but after you use it a while you get used to the feel of it.

This controller is a nice modification to the original Xbox controller. The menu buttons and home button take a slight amount of getting used to due to their differing placement. The controller is about 15-20% smaller than its counterpart making it a tad different feeling for people with middle to large sized hands, but the larger XYAB buttons make for easier tapping on the fly. The customization of the sticks is nice but limited and doesn’t offer a very noticeable difference when in the heat of the game. The Dolby atmos addition was a real incentive to this controller giving the user unfettered access to one of the greatest sound experiences on Xbox. It is simple to set up and amazing to behold.

Smaller in comparison to the original Xbox controller but does make it very comfortable to use. The length of the cord is excellent. Footsteps can be heard accurately. Some games it is a bit too sensitive for so it takes a little time to perfect customization for the but overall a great product.

its a great controller. I am not a constant console gamer as I play on pc. so now and then I use a controller for sports games, racing games when not using wheel, and fighting games like mortal kombat. this is a little smaller then your normal xbox controller but title says its a compact controller. it still feels great to me. I love that you can customize it. granted on PC at least, most games you can customize within the game how you want. I am not sure about the trigger sensitivity. cord is plenty long and braided. for me, the only thing I would love to have seen is a case. and the start and menu buttons or whatever they are called, I would have liked them more towards the center above the xbox button. but not a deal breaker for me.

I was looking for an Xbox replacement controller and I found the RIG - Nacon PRO Compact Controller for Xbox. I was looking for something wired so I didn’t have to keep replacing batteries. This looked like it fit the bill. I was already familiar with RIG and their headsets. Build quality is good. The controller is smaller than the traditional Xbox controller making it fit in the hand better and lighter. The cord is very nice. It’s a thick braided cord that seems like it would last a long time. The buttons are a bit bigger and the triggers are flatter and not concave like a gun. I really enjoy these triggers better. You also have the ability to customize the buttons. It also comes with a Dolby atmos voucher you can redeem and plug in any headset to use through the controller which is a nice add on. Where it felt short was the controller sticks. Thought movements were smooth and on par with the original Xbox controller it was when I was playing Apex. Each time I engaged into a fight while aiming to shoot with the right analog stick it would click and I would melee mid shot causing me to lose every engagement. I thought maybe I just have to get used to this controller so after several hours of gaming same results. I even changes my button layout and I still could not get used to it. As a gamer this is a big deal. The right analog stick clicks too easy causing unexpected actions and for that I have to use it on other games but for playing Apex which is my main game it’s a no go.

The wired controller is nicely built and with nice good feel and overall quality. The buttons are extremely responsive though the pad is a bit off but still excellent. The Dolby at is for excellent spatial sound is super fantastic and so easy to activate and use. The braided cord is about 9-10 feet long and very durable and more than sufficient to play games on in a large or small room without needing to sit too close to your gaming rig or pc. Gaming response time seems faster than my wireless controller, but that is just my opinion. The controller fits perfectly in my hand and really does improve my gaming timing and overall just love it.

Having used this controller for the past few days, I have to say it's a pretty good controller. It's definitely compact. If you have smaller hands, this would be ideal for you. The analog sticks are very responsive. So much so that I have to turn down the sensitivity in game. The software allows you to remap buttons, but that's it. You also get access to Dolby Atmos for headphones using the jack on the controller. To be be honest, the sound quality form the headphone jack is not very good, and there is a constant audible hiss. Chances are you're probably using a nice gaming headset, so this is almost a non issue. Likes: 1.) Very responsive sticks and buttons 2.) Re-mappable buttons via app 3.) Long cord Dislikes: 1.) Poor onboard sound quality.

The RIG - Nacon PRO Compact Controller for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One - Black is a nice compact size controller that makes it feel better in my hands for easy gripping. Access to the bigger buttons made my reaction time better during game play. The Dolby Atmos app comes free with the controller which is a nice feature for expanding audio features. The mix amp on the app makes for great customization for all media sound effects including movies music and more. Footsteps are pinpointed better which allows for more evasive game play. I can hear footsteps better from the right and the left when the headset is plugged into the controller. The RIG - Nacon PRO Compact Controller for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One - Black comes with an extra long 9FT cable giving me the ability to stretch out comfortably while gaming. The RIG - Nacon PRO Compact Controller for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One - Black is a good addition to my gaming system.

The RIG - Nacon PRO Compact Controller for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One - Black is a great wired option for anyone still using wired controllers. It offers great tactile response with the ergonomic design, thumb controls, and textured grip. High-end Audio input brings 3D audio to your gaming experience with wired headphones. I found this to be a good wired option for the Xbox. It felt good in the hand, was really responsive, and allowed many hours of play without getting tired. The ability to customize the buttons is a nice feature for some but I did not see a need for it for my use. The audio experience was great! Nearly 10 ft cable was helpful. PROS - RIG design - Comfortable in the hand - Mappable buttons - Responsive - 10 ft braided cable CONS - This would have been perfect without the cord! The cord was frustrating to plug in and limited where I could sit to play.

There are a multitude of Xbox controllers today and finally RIG has thrown their name in the hat. RIG headphones have been that perfect medium of quality vs price and this controller fits that exact mantra as well though not quite as perfectly as their headphones. Firstly, out of the box the controller appears very well made especially when it came to the cable as the problem with many wired controllers is the cable always ends up fraying or becoming ruined to the point the controller no longer works, but the cable here did not worry me at all! The size of the controller is obviously smaller and more "compact" than the traditional Xbox controller and the buttons on the face of the controller are larger as well. The triggers are also much more responsive and snap back quicker than the traditional box controller which is a nice feature. The software of this controller is what sets it apart though in that you are able to configure the various buttons to whatever you may prefer to which for me that was predominantly used in the trigger responsiveness for fps games. This is usually a feature of controllers 3 times its price, but unfortunately, it does lack the additional triggers on the back though this is not expected at this price point. The other major selling feature for me was the inclusion of Dolby Atmos as this usually is an additional $15 charge and since I had not purchased this for my PC yet it did come in handy when I was gaming on my PC and the fact that you don`t have to enter any codes and that it simply is "attached" to the controller makes it extremely convenient! Overall, this is a very solid controller for the price and the value is definitely there with the inclusion of the Dolby Atmos. I am simply used to the larger size and heft of the traditional Xbox controller, but if you are in the market for a wired controller I would definitely recommend this controller as the build quality of the cable is exceptional and the inclusion of Dolby Atmos is a major bonus.

Overall, this is a very nice remote. I wasn’t convinced when I first un-packaged the remote and held it in hand. IT really felt off. But after a few days of use, it feels quite natural. My one and only complaint is the placement of the center buttons surrounding the Xbox center button. They are further off to the side than the original Xbox remote. They feel more of a Playstation’s start and share buttons. But minor button layout complaints aside, installing the Dolby Atmos app and connecting a pair of headphones via the Aux port was a game changer. I personally don’t own any premium wired headsets since I normally prefer to go wireless. So for this I used an entry model Turtle Beach headset, I think Recon 50 or something very close to it. The remote comes with 6ft cable already attached to it and some standard documentation with a sticker, not much else in the box. One piece I found intriguing, there’s a connector in the wire right before the USB Type A connector that plugs into the Xbox. It reminds me of the connector the old Duke remotes from the original Xbox came with. If it’s to extend the length of the overall cable then I’d be all in favor of adding an extension. 6 feet is really not enough for a living room. Maybe a bedroom or when sitting at a desk

My hands are on the smaller side so I thought I would check this controller out. Unfortunately, although a solid controller, the size just didn't work out for me. Fist off I do like the wired connection. My Xbox Series S is on my desk with my monitor in front of me, so a wired connection is easy to use. The cable is plenty long, even for sitting back from the TV or monitor and has a break-away connector that should, in theory, break apart if someone trips on the cable. This way your expensive console should be safe. Also included is a headphone jack. Connecting the controller activates Dolby Atmos on the Xbox, so you get the Dolby surround effect in your headphones. It's handy in games that support it, as you can hear where shots are coming from. It also makes movie audio sound like it's coming from the front and back, not just from the sides. There's a PC utility that allows you to set up options, like tweaking the sensitivity of the sticks and swapping buttons, much like the built in app on the Xbox for first party controllers for better customization. Overall, however, I just had too much trouble using the controller due to its size. While it's smaller, it's mainly the same width but has much shorter grips. As a result I couldn't get the leverage I needed to properly reach the shoulder buttons. I didn't realize how dependent I was on the grip size on the first party controller to shape my hands correctly and reach the buttons. It's a shame really. because the controller feels great in the hand, but is practically useless to me in practice. If your hands are particularly small, or you're getting this for a child you may have better luck.

I found this controller to be quite comfortable. I was worried that it would be too small since it was marketed as a "compact" controller. I found that wasn't the case at all though. The controller fits quite comfortably in my "average" size hands, and I had no issues reaching any of the buttons or triggers. The buttons and triggers are good sized, and I had no issues with accidental presses or missed presses. I wish that this controller was cordless. But the cord length isn't bad at all. My TV stand is a good distance away from my couch, and the cord managed to stretch the distance easily. I also used this controller on my gaming laptop. There is a dedicated Windows 10 app for controlling things like trigger sensitivity and joystick sensitivity. I found the app worked well, but it didn't really add too much in the way of functionality to this controller. All in all, I would recommend this as a good secondary controller.
