I entered the order on line an picked it up at lunch. The pickup went quickly and the store associate was friendly.

They may look good when doing a live view but lose connectivity oddly when important security SHOULD WORK. I can get a pigeon on the sidewalk, and leaves blowing in my tree. But when my neighbor gets their car vandalized for over an hour NOTHING. When another neighbor has their car STOLEN.... NOTHING. But ya I can watch a pigeon in the same area for 90 sec. Ring is GARBAGE. Unreliable. It would work better for watching you cat indoors. DONT RELY ON IT> another thing because the models are cheap now the batteries don't fit right. Cut backs just like foreign operators that don't know what to say.

I would be happy to address your concern regarding the issue that you are experiencing with the delay in motion detection of your Ring Video Doorbell. It is important to ensure that you have the proper motion settings in place for your environment. This includes increasing the "Motion Sensitivity" and setting "Motion Frequency" to "Frequently" in the Ring app. To optimize your motion zones and ensure that the device will detect accurately, please follow these steps:
Open the Ring app.
Tap the menu (≡) on the top left.
Tap Devices.
Tap the relevant device.
Tap Motion Settings.
At the top, tap Edit Zones or scroll down to tap Camera Motion Zones.
Note: If you are using a battery-powered device, you may need to toggle on Advanced Motion Detection under Advanced Settings before you can add customizable Motion Zones.
To adjust an existing Motion Zone: tap the Zone you want to adjust, then drag the points of the Zone to do so. Tap Save.
To add a new Motion Zone: tap Add Zone and drag the points of the Zone. Tap Save.
Accuracy in motion detection can also be improved by enabling Smart Alerts for people only in your Ring app.
To enable Smart Alerts:
Tap the menu (≡) on the top left.
Tap Devices.
Tap the device that you want to adjust.
Tap Motion Settings.
Tap Smart Alerts.
Tap Enable Feature.
Tap Continue.
Select the notification options that you want for Person and Other Motion.
You'll see a video camera where you can select or de-select recording and a bell icon to represent alert notifications.

Missing Key Feature

Mounted outside under my eve to watch my drive way only to figure out that these do not have the invert video function. Being designed for outdoors and not having the ability to be hung upside down defeats a lot of the areas you would want to put this camera.

It sounds like you are experiencing issues with the camera's view from the ceiling. The Ring Outdoor Cam is our leading indoor and outdoor-ready security camera with flexible mounting options. Ring Outdoor Cam must be positioned right-side up if it is mounted on the ceiling. If Ring Outdoor Cam is mounted upside-down, videos viewed with a Ring Home Plan subscription will also be upside-down. Video orientation cannot be changed in the Ring app. Your Ring Outdoor Cam can keep your home protected from indoors and outside — whether it’s sitting on its stand or mounted to the ceiling using a Ring Stick Up Cam Mount (sold separately).
