Excellent addition to existing system. The installation was a breeze & its working great since last 2+ years

UNLIKE most people who bought this item to set it up with their Ring Alarm System I bought it specifically because it is a Z-Wave Capable Device. I have it setup in Home Assistant and not only use it as part of my alarm system but I use it to turn on various lights inside and outside my house. This is one of the cheapest Z-Wave motion detectors you can buy and its one of the most accessible since it is a ring product. Ive been using for almost a month and it works really well. Overall I would recommend to anyone looking for a Cheap but Quality Z-Wave motion detector.

The house just bought has a LOT of windows and doors. The Ring Pro kit comes with only 6 sensors so we needed a lot more. These additional sensors were easy to add. Another thing we like about the Ring system is you can identify the location of the sensors when they trigger. This is good for when you are arming the system but maybe a door or window is open.

Motion detectors are easy to install, and work Great.

I was surprised to learn that these sensors are standard Z-wave sensors. They are a really good price and being able to pick them up same-day from a store is great. Im using a HomeSeer 700 Series Z-wave stick on a Home Assistant server. The first sensor paired no problem the first try. The second took some fiddling, but after about 10 minutes and after resetting it paired right up. They run on two CR2032 coin-cell batteries instead of just one, so the batteries should last longer than most other sensors.

I really like the design of this version to ring contact sensor. These sensors are the latest 800 long range z-wave chip. They are versatile because they are z-wave and I am able to connect them to Home Assistant without any problem. In fact, the signature for this device has been added to Z wave JS.

Great option if you just need a couple of sensors. Easy to install with the included adhesive, and they pair instantly with the Ring base station. The sensors are reliable and trigger alerts without delay. Ideal for smaller areas or as add-ons to strengthen your existing home security system.

The sensors work perfectly! I was trying to upgrade my legacy ADT home alarm system. Could not find an installer to help me, so I looked into this wireless option through Ring. The sensors were very easy to install and now having a digital dashboard on the app that allows every family member to control. The system has allowed us to simplify and modernize our home security. The instruction videos are super helpful and easy to follow.

Works perfectly and easy to install. I needed two additional contact sensors for my ring alarm system. The second generation sensors for fabulous and easy to install. It took me longer to walk to the doors to hook up the sensors then to actually do the work. It is very simple and straightforward to install these units and get them tied into the alarm system. Great value and an excellent product – thanks for a product that works as advertised

These are very nice contact sensors for use with a home automation system (such as the Ring Alarm system, but they also work with other systems like Hubitat, HomeSeer, HomeAssistant, and Smartthings... note: A HUB IS REQUIRED). I paired mine with a Hubitat system, and they connected very easily. So far, there has been no issues, and they have detected contact discruptions (open doors and windows) well. They've been installed for almost 3 weeks now, and the batter is still reporting 100%, so, hopefully, we'll get some good battery life out of them!

Our 2nd set of these, and they’re worth every penny spent! Easy to set up, simple to maintain, and so very invaluable should we ever have an unwanted intrusion.

I love how compact these are. They fit way better then the last series. Easy to install and set up.

I use ring for my home security system. They are a great service. They work good, good quality parts. I highly recommend anybody in need of a security system ring should be your answer

The ring sensors are easy to install and are quite reliable. They will still work if they are on a door with a frame and there is a little bit of a gap between the sensors. Nope that while these will capture someone opening or closing a door, they won't go off of someone just shatters glass and comes through, so you'll want a glass shatter sensor for large windows or sliding glass doors

I have set up ring security on my house for a while, and the contact sensors are great. The battery life is terrific. These stick to the door or window frame perfectly, and also, you can tilt either magnet or sensor if required to be fit in a narrow space. If you are going to use an open window magnet, you have to stick the sensor on the window and the magnets on the frame or wall.

Ring - Alarm Contact Sensor (2nd Gen) (6-Pack) - White - love them. I would suggest Ring offer in other colors. We have wood stained doors and the sensors stand-out because of their color. That’s the only negative comment I have. They were easy to set-up and the size worked well for us. For the cost of the 6 pack $99 and the yearly cost of Ring $107 - this is a no brainer. 2 thumbs up and I do recommend.
