Love this thing. Purchased the Ring security system for the home after installing one of there cameras. $10 a month and they do live monitoring as well as cloud storage for all your homes ring camera devices. Easy enough for all the kids to use when home or leaving as well. All alerts go right to the phone so I know if the kids leave the back garage door open which happens a lot.

Setup was a breeze ... if you can pair bluetooth you can install these.. comes with 30 day monitoring service for free and 2 week trial period incase of false alarms. has backup cellular incase internet drops. Just don't forget your alarm permits ! If poli d has to roll by they will ask for your alarm permit... without one the police rolling out will cost you nearly 200$

Got this and got a free Echo dot. The setup is easy, yes you will have to pay $10 a month to have them monitor your alarm but a very small price to pay and you get more compared to the other services out there. You can even arm your house using Alexa, which is pretty handy if you are in a rush out the door. Or if you forget you can arm your alarm using your smartphone.

Very simple install, up and running in 30 minutes. Very affordable monitoring.

For many years I was a customer of the company that a real innovator in the field of DIY security. I'll call them brand "S". When the original "S" unit kicked the bucket after years of service, I had the choice of sticking with them by updating my station or going with the new offering from Ring. I took a while to decide, but what eventually sold me on Ring was quality of their phone App and the fact that I did not have to pay additional money per month to use the app (unlike brand "S"). I thought it was very antiquated for brand "S" to charge extra for their app. Come on, folks, this is 2019. I've been using the Ring alarm system for a couple months now, and I am impressed with how more modern it feels than what I had been using. And when I did have a problem with one of the components, I found their customer service to be helpful and articulate, not the usual 1-800 nightmare. You cannot beat the monitoring price. Granted, it may not last, as this is probably a teaser for them to break into a very tight market with a number of behemoths in play, but for now I will enjoy the cheap rates as an early adopter. Honestly, if you're still paying for an old-fashioned alarm contract, you are getting ripped off. Ring and brand "S" are the future of home alarm companies. They are to the old security firms what video streaming is to cable TV.

I picked this up because I did a ton of research and this is the best choice all around, I've had it for almost 8 months and it had worked flawlessly not one issue it's also gotten smarter with updates it added ability to sync with smart locks with zwave so I added a kwikset 914 zwave model and it integrated with it perfectly saving me $75-$100 on a hub it is the best out there

After my previous DIY alarm system was offline for days ('it might be another week'), I bought and installed this system in an afternoon. I'm a geek, but it seems to be easy enough for anyone. We already have Echo Dots, so we control the whole thing by voice. I have also disarmed it remotely by smartphone when our dogs set off a motion sensor. Great system at a great price!

This is a great product. Very reliable and easy to install.

For us, this is the most effective and economical way of having a home security system. So far so good. The only problem I have experienced is the contact sensor. It has had lost contact with the station twice. The first time I called. Customer service was nice. But it takes time to trouble shoot. The second time, I just don't have the time to deal with it. Contact sensor doesn't seem very stable in my opinion. But overall, I still like Ring security system. I just hope the stability can be improved more.
