Great for first time hone buyers! We wanted a system that did not cost an arm and a leg and this was the one for us! Lots of good monitoring system accessories and even better because you can add pieces as you go. Definitely worth it for a great starter home security kit!

Great security system and very affordable when compared to ADT. This service offers more for a lesser price compared to home security companies. I'm very pleased with their service and their customer service goes above and beyond.

Great system for price. Has been very reliable. Easy to install. Comes with free 30 day trial monitoring. Yearly monitoring price is really inexpensive plus you get a home insurance discount The only thing I would change is that !ore sensors should come in package

Bought this to replace an aging ADT system. Love the connectivity being able to sync to my phone. Def recommend. Also, make sure you get the home monitoring and talk to your insurance agent, as this will lower your monthly insurance bill a bit!

PROS -$100 a year, no contracts, no monthly fee, professional police and fire and CO2 monitoring service - If you are already storing multiple doorbell camera video in the cloud, it's free as the $100 plan includes the Ring Security System - System supports fire CO2 alarm listener if you don't want to go with the Ring First Alert detector. This allows you to pair with a Nest detector, and since Nest devices talk to each other you only need one listener - Ring App has nicely implemented alarm support you can control Home/Away from the main dashboard CONS - Requires it's own hub (z-wave). Having invested in Ring WiFi doorbells would prefer a wifi alarm system option. So you have to buy extenders for the alarm system (z-wave) in addition to extenders for the Ring wifi products. - Installation documentation neglects to mention the keypad does not need to be 24x7 hard wired with a power outlet. You charge it like a phone and the charge lasts 6 months. - Ring recommends to place motion sensors in corners but has no corner mounting hardware (either inside or outside corners). The 90 degree field of view is a little narrow would prefer wider. - Ring recommends to place motion sensors above 7 feet to avoid having pets trigger motion events. I was looking for a system that was cheaper than ADT. This system does that for a fraction of the cost. Install simple and straight forward. The only small issue from getting a 5 is that sometimes the app is delayed on opening properly. Other than that the system does what it was intended to do and I also have the doorbell integrated into the app. Everything accessible via one app.

Purchases this as a way to slowly start the process of turning our home into a smart home. With the Z- wave built in we can add other produces to our house system. Would of liked another door sensor but overall great product and easy to use with Alexa

It was straightforward setting this up. It all works although I had to call the Ring Support for one of the door sensor which was resolved quickly and hasn’t been an issue since. Plan to add other sensors and door alarm soon.

A great system that is very easy to setup and integrates well with Alexa. Simple to operate and the camera and it’s features are quite robust. Only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because the window sensors will come offline and/or system says windows are open. Ring needs to make a better formula so that sensors stay on. Overall great little affordable system.

Excellent! The Ring Security System is a must have. I truly love it. I have brought other ring accessories after this alarm system. The ring system is so reliable! Go out and get you a Ring Security System! I love everything about my new new home system!

Very easy to set up, and it works great. I put installed this in my elderly mom's home who lives 700 miles away. I can hear every time she opens/closes the door. I also am able to turn the alarm on/off remotely without her having to do anything.

I have used this system in tandem with the Retrofit kit. I've been using it for months now and it's a really good replacement for my old hardwired monitored system. The initial expense is justified by the $10/month monitoring costs.

I was skeptical that this alarm system would meet my needs... but install was painless and quick and so far I am very impressed. It even pays for itself with my home insurance discount for having a monitored alarm system!! Sorry I didn’t but it sooner

After doing some research we went with the Ring because we are able to use the app and do not have to pay for a monitoring service. All items were easy to install and synch. It would be nice if it came with more than 1 door/window sensor and that is my only gripe. I plan on purchasing the 6 pack of these in the near future to cover our other door and windows.

I replaced my previous alarm with the Ring system. I already had the doorbell camera so it was a natural add on. The sensors were easy to install and pair to the system. Controlling and viewing the devices is helpful on my phone.

The Ring alarm has been very easy to use whether you use keypad, app or both. It was very simple to set up and monitoring it yourself can be easily done. The alarm siren is loud enough to be heard anywhere in a 2k square foot house.

I returned a SimpliSafe system and bought this system instead as I have several other ring items. It was very easy to set up and I like it much better already. The Ring app is easy to use and the monitoring fee is better too (you don’t have to get monitoring).

I bought this to replace a 10 year old Honeywell system. Works as advertised, like they I can see when my kids come and go and I can set the alarm from my phone if they forget. I have had a small issue with the keypad: couple of times it has quit working and I have had to “forget it” and re-add it to get it working again. Not major, but the only reason it’s not 5 stars.

Easy set up. Easy to expand. We love it! Would recommend to anyone wanting an easy to use home security system. Only downside, is you have to have really good internet to get a reliable live video feed on cameras.

Overall, I think this was a great security system if you do not want to pay for the monthly service versions out there. It was very easy to install. However, I did have a few occasions where the system was late to respond to doors opening which felt counterproductive to the purpose of the system. Would still recommend though.
