Since Lowes Hardware did away with their IRIS home security I was pretty much forced to go to Samsung SmartThings. Well Samsung just doesn't get it and I was desperately trying to find something that matched IRIS because it was pretty good. Ring satisfies me 100%. Easy to install and work great.

I love this thing. It pulls up the video right to my phone. I have a text alert and then the video. I can watch my son leave the house to walk the dogs... kinda like spying! I love it! But also can watch the Amazon deliveries and if anyone else shows up on my doorstep.

Works well, but one connectivity issue, kind slow sometimes

I've joined with my neighbors in getting a RING home security indoor and outdoor camera and alarm system. Already an immediate neighbor was able to witness his car being struck in the middle of the night because it was caught on another neighbor's camera. The video was good enough to give a positive identification of the guilty vehicle.

Easy installation but to be able to record videos you need to subscribe and do monthly payments

After contacting ring they said they are now aware of the issue I may have brought up. I wish there was a way that when it is sent to home if the door is opened there is a minimum 30 second delay. I think that is too long as someone can easily roam the house in 30 seconds before the alarm actually goes off. Other then that system seems to work great so far.

Great Set of Security Devices. Camera's, Motion Detectors, Alarm, Doorbell, Window devices all first rate. BUT, one of the window sensors continues to malfunction. Can't tell if it is the actual sensor, or it was installed improperly. I know things can happen, but when I called the installer (Jobber?) he told me to go to the Ring Website to trouble- shoot. Essentially, he washed his hands of any issues. Find this unsatisfactory! When you spend that kind of money, you'd think that the installer would finish the job. I am not hitting on the guys who were at the house, but the guy who blew me off. Geek Squad????? Would have thought the job would have been totally completed. When you pay for instal and 'Total Tech Support', you would think it would be done properly. Re the recommendation below, I will say YES to the product wholeheartedly, but not so sure about the service.

Easy setup with Geek Squad. Very easy to use at home and thru app. The best is the monitoring fee.

Not done installing yet. Motion sensors are easy but door sensors need some fitting.

This is a great system, so user friendly and I love its mobile app, especially when you can see crimes and other alerts near your neighborhood. It's a fraction of what other brands charge and with so many features!! I'm looking forward to add more devices (like a door bell) in the near future.

With the advice of the Best Buy staff, and full disclosure of your security needs (both internally and externally), you can not beat the RING and YALE/Nest systems. Start with a basic systems and build to need...the perfect (and logical way) to approach such an important part of your home.

Instructions are terrible. They don't tell you that the sensors included in the box are already recognized by the base station. So if you follow the start-up instructions, they get entered twice. Took 6 hours to get the system running, which included 2 hours on the phone with a rep, who was very helpful. No info on what is available on the app, which is not user friendly. No info available on the individual accessories.

I really love my Ring. I did not do the Ring door bell. I have the nest door bell. Does not work together. So I maybe would rethink it. Why did I do the Ring instead of Nest?? ( COST) The only thing nest door bell does is recognize people I know. Other then that I would go with Ring all the way.

You can’t beat the value of this, and no contract. Instantly connect your ring doorbell, and cameras together in one app - which is something that was important to me. Definitely does the job, and you have the option of professional monitoring for a low cost after trial is over.
