    It doesn’t show anything at night. During the day you can see everything good, but not at night.

Likewise, we completely understand the relevance of having your home security up and running. Having peace of mind that your device’s connectivity is solid is also very important.

       

      After reading your review, it seems that you are having trouble with the night vision feature on one of your Ring cameras. Certain models of Ring devices have a night vision feature that allows you to see through the camera in low light conditions. By using infrared light, the camera can create a black and white image that is then beamed to the Live View in your app. By turning the color night vision feature on, the camera will use whatever ambient light is available to try and create a "false color" image in your Live View. This lets you get a better sense of what's happening in the image by creating a false sense of color depth.     Data HOG - Don't buy it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Do not buy this product if you don't have unlimited broadband internet!!!!!! The minicam used 23GB in 3 days with the system disarmed. If I disable motion detection entirely, the camera still uses about 150MB per day, doing essentially nothing!!! RING tech support was not any help. They did manage to drag out the resolution process long enough so that I can no longer return the system to BestBuy for a refund.

    The product was good, but the follow up and service were less than satisfactory. We purchase the whole package on June, 2021, and we still don't have everything installed by late August, 2021.

    I wish I could given a 0 but sense I can't one will do. I purchase a ring alarm system this is about best buy service center which is horrible. I am taking all my stuff back and getting off that credit card and then closing it.

    I would give zero stars. Cell phones interfere with video. Even the microwave interferes with the system. Don’t waste your money.

      It is important to us here at Ring, that the features available to you on your new Ring Alarm Security System meet your needs and expectations. We really appreciate that you have placed value in owning one of our Ring Alarm's for your home security.

      One of the most important measurements in your Ring security network is the strength of your wifi signal. There are three main factors that can weaken your wifi quality:

      - Physical Obstructions: Certain materials can reduce the range of wifi signals (or even block them). Here are some examples of things that can interfere with your Ring device’s signal strength:

      Heavy-duty walls and floors made of materials like concrete, brick, or metal.
      Household objects such as fish tanks, bookcases and mirrors.
      Windows made of Low-E glass also cause interference.

      While other materials like wood and glass don't have as much effect, the more walls and floors between your router and your Ring products, the more interference you're likely to see.

      - Competing wifi networks: If you live in a densely crowded area such as a big city or apartment building, there can be dozens of Wi-Fi networks around you which can cause interference and lower the quality of your network. If you open the wireless options on your mobile device or computer and see a long list of networks, you may be experiencing this type of interference.

      -Other electronics: This is a difficult kind of interference to detect, as it can come from almost anything—even from appliances such as microwave ovens and baby monitors that aren't connected to your wifi network. The biggest source of electronic interference though, are those appliances that use the same Wi-Fi network as your Ring device to perform their basic functions. These include cellular phones, iPads, other smart home devices, TVs, and video game consoles.

    Ring Alarming 2nd Gen

    I move in to my new apartment and It had the option of ADT. Reminding the trauma I received the last time I had ADT. I did my research on alternative alarm system and it lead me to The Ring. I purchased it from BestBuy and installed it myself. Easy in app instructions. Each device had an adherence to stick the device anywhere you want. The motion detector was a little bulky but fit in a corner. This kit paired easily with my ring door bell. I just gifted this to my girlfriend for her new place. Going to buy another one for my place.
