Ring didn’t skimp on quality. All the parts feel like those you might get with professionally installed systems. The installation process was a breeze! I don’t think I’ve installed any smart thing as easily. The only reason I docked a a star is the limited (ahem lack) of integration with other smart home devices or smart voice assistants beyond the first alert fire/co monitor. There’s no integration even with rings own outdoor cams!?! Ring’s CEO has promised more integration down the road as the base station is equipped with zigbee/z-wave radios to make that possible. If you need your alarm system to integrate with your smart home ecosystem, then this system might not be for you...yet?

Really like our ring alarm easy installation like the add on items available. Our ring doorbell was easily paired with our alarm system. Will definitely be adding on a camera.

Ring hit the nail on the head with this system. Setup was so simple. All did was mount everything up and synced up the sensors and, boom! I had home security. The sensors sync automatically. I love this alarm system. It alerts your phone on the exact sensor that tripped the alarm...you can arm and disarm with your phone if you so choose. It's also expandable! I plan on adding a camera and ring doorbell in the future. This is an awesome easy to set up system!

After using your typical alarm system with a touch screen and monitoring company for years I switched to ring. The $9.99 a month professional monitoring was the key. With cellular backup at that price anyone who has been told by this isn't a deal must have an "alarm guy" telling you a story to keep themselves in business a few more years. If this doesnt exspose the rip off that is the typical monitoring alarm business model you are blind. Next I gotta say these contact sensors are by far not the biggest sensors I've seen. Not to mention these look better. So for all the negative comments on the contact sensors I'm a little confused. One thing I didn't like about the ring alarm was the glossy plastic keypads. However when I got my kit it was a much improved matte finish keypad that looks way newer. Ring should change out the display models at every store right away. As far as how the system works it is great. Sensors work great, app works great, and customization is almost endless. If you throw alexa into the mix you unlock even more benefits like glass break and smoke alarm monitoring. I have also setup voice sensor announcements for each sensor like my old alarm system had. If you are looking for a top of the line setup with amazing features at a monitoring price that can not be beat order this now. If you are loyal to your "alarm guy" and want to put his kids through college, or if you do not mind paying more for the same things in life do not order a ring alarm. It's a simple choice for me I'll enjoy my ring alarm.

a good system for the money. easy to activate. make sure you charge all batteries at the beginning fully.
