Great way to keep tabs on what goes on outside your home and even better when paired with chime, and notifications can be heard while inside your home.

It sounds like your Ring Battery Doorbell Plus is not performing as expected. We would love the opportunity to share with you some troubleshooting steps that you can try to get your Ring Battery Doorbell Plus functioning as intended. It is important to ensure that you have the proper motion settings in place for your environment. This camera uses adjustable motion detection and runs on passive infrared sensors. The system identifies visitors via a moving heat signature and sends a notification to your smart device when one is detected. You can adjust three preset motion zones and their distances under the "Motion Settings" tab on the device's page in the Ring app. Additionally, you can choose how often the camera checks for movement in those predefined zones via the "Motion Frequency" setting. If you find that your camera is missing some motions, please set the motion frequency to "Frequently."
Notification delays are often related to wifi connection or mobile device variables. A delay of under six seconds is expected due to signal fluctuation. To learn more about your device's signal strength, follow these steps:
Open the Ring app.
Tap the menu (☰).
Tap Devices.
Select the Ring device you would like to test.
Tap on the Device Health tile.
Scroll to Signal Strength under the Network section.
The green, amber, and red colors are indicators of your device connection. Green is good; red is poor.

A must if not a fire proof door in our case only.

I only could not mount it as fire steel lined burn proof door could not be drilled or damaged by installer due to insurance and contract agreement.

I do wish the battery would last a bit longer before you have to charge it but overall it’s really good. My husband and I spent 5 days drilling into brick to mount it which was the most frustrating part but set up was completely easy.

No issues thus far, I have it both hardwired and filled with batteries (just in case). Only thing is the additional subscription plan you have to sign up for but when it comes to security, they have loads of options.

I now can view high def, program specific notifications and have gotten better life span.
