Battery lasts at least 3 weeks before it needs recharging, I ordered one for the back door as well & ordered an extra battery so I’m always ready.I like it because I can zoom in if needed. It’s worth paying the extra $30 for the plus model.

THEY SPENT (15) MINUTES INSTALLING IT AND (45) MINUTES MAKING SURE THAT EVERYTHING WORKED AND I WAS ALL SET UP WITH THE SOFTWARE TO ATTACH MY PHONE AND MY "ALEXA" SCREEN IN MY KITCHEN! I TELL EVERYONE ABOUT MY EXPERIENCE!!

Upgrraded to Ring Generation 3

Video quality, larger viewing area, the ability to limit unwanted motion alerts were 4xparamount toward my decision to switch. I have the battery operated model and the battery life has remained the same. Set-up was seamless since I currently have Alexa. All I had to do was download the Ring app.

Great camera, TERRIBLE mount.

The mount to the doorframe, however, was extremely difficult to screw on. It took about 3 handymen to figure out how to get it on properly. But after it was put on, it was fine, and the battery is super easy to charge with this model.

Worth It

Im using a housing unit to keep on the front door. I really wish i would have bought one sooner! It helps for the obvious safety reasons, but it also helps me with taking my dog out. I can see anyone in the hallways. Something I didn't think i would use the ring for. It did take an entire day to charge, but other than that, I am enjoying the device. Im most likely going to buy one for my back porch.
