The camera and ability to talk to a person at the door are wonderful. The yearly cost is far less than the system it replaced.

From what I've sceen of others this is par for the course. I get an alert when someone walks by. By the time I turn, and I'm sitting right by my front picture window, and look they're 3 houses down. :( Seems to be functioning OK

I can see who's at or passing by my door from my phone. The picture quality is clean and crisp, and the audio works as well. Many lost pets are recovered through a network of caring community members. Worth every penny spent and more! Peace of mind is priceless! Invest in your own security, you won't be sorry!

So far I am pleased with the battery life. I was disappointed when I learned I had to pay an annual fee to actually see what is on my camera when motion is detected. I also had to purchase a Chime Pro because my WiFi signal was too weak. End result I like the product but ended up paying a lot more than expected.

The Ring Protect Plan provides valuable capabilities, such as accessing paid features and the ability to save, download, and review footage captured by your Ring device. We can definitely provide you with more information regarding the concern mentioned in your review.
It sounds like there was some confusion regarding the optional Ring Protect Plan. With a Ring Protect Plan, you can save, review, and share video recordings from your Ring devices to your Ring account. Without a Ring Protect Plan, you can still view real-time video for Ring doorbells and cameras and answer doorbell notifications when they happen, but you don’t get video recordings of those events.

Just another tech gadget for those that think they need stuff. I did have to buy Ring chimes so I can hear someone at the door in other parts of the house. Nice to know when packages are delivered but I already get those alerts from the delivery companies (and even with other’s videos I don’t ever see any “porch pirates” getting caught on the neighborhood or ring apps soooo…)
