Battery life so far is great and already is being put to good use. Had a man make his way into their home “looking for someone”. They reported the man to the police and were able to use the video footage that looked and sounded great.

I used the angle back backet to angle it away from the wall so that I get a good view along the wall as well as the other side of the door that is open to the porch. Great product.

Only had slight connectivity issues where it goes offline and I may miss a ring at times but it comes back on pretty quickly. Buying it for $100 was well worth its price and if you have an apartment, just need a camera for the front door, then this camera is really great!

Very clear and a wide range of vision. With solar, I don't have to buy batteries. I can see who is at my door before I answer it or don't. Love my ring.

I live in an apartment in NYC and needed it to monitor the hallway due to recent thief of packages. Let me tell you I haven’t been disappointed. This model has an alert when packages are being delivered and left at your door. I also, like the motion detector when there is any activity or someone passing by. I appreciate the feature where I can delete video after I have reviewed it and snap any activity I would like to keep.The sound quality isn’t too sharp, however it’s adjustable. Over all I really am pleased with my purchase and the battery life of the device. I do not have to charge a whole lot.

Full picture and include sound.... Voices are clear... It is the new generation on alarm system... My house is equipped with all the wired system but I am replacing for wireless....

Was basically 2 wires to hook onto the back and drilling 4 holes into the siding to mount the doorbell. Including the template would have been nice if you needed to pre-drill. Battery takes forever to fully charge. I had to leave it on the charger overnight to reach 100%. It also drains pretty fast if you have motion alerts and check live view too much. Went down to about 85% on the first day. Afterwards, I paused motion alerts during the day since I’m WFH and the trickle charge bumped it by 1-2% per day. If you live where there’s lots of foot traffic going by you or you will check live view because you’re waiting on packages I would go with a hardwired version and skip this battery one. The other option would be to buy a couple spare batteries and be ready to swap them out every couple weeks.

Having longevity in a battery-powered security device is crucial when it comes to monitoring your home, especially if you are away for long periods of time. We are here to provide you with some education to resolve the battery life issue you mentioned in your review.
It sounds like the device is not performing as expected. There are some troubleshooting steps that you can take to ensure that you have your device set up for optimal battery-life performance. The more events captured by your Ring devices, the more your battery is used. Using "Live View" can also drain your battery faster. If your device is capturing an excessive number of events each day, you may need to recharge your battery sooner.
To prevent excessive activity, under "Motion Settings" for your device in the Ring app, you can:
Adjust your "Motion Sensitivity" slider to a lower sensitivity.
Redraw your "Customizable Motion Zones."
Change "Motion Frequency" to regularly or periodically.
You could also adjust the direction of your Ring device so it doesn't detect as much motion.
You can go to "Power Settings" in the Ring app to see what features may be draining your battery.
To access "Power Settings," open the Ring app:
Tap the menu (≡) on the top left of the dashboard.
Tap "Devices."
Tap the individual device (video doorbell or security camera) you want to check.
Tap "Power Settings" to check your "Battery Level" percentage and "Feature Power Usage."
Tap a feature to adjust "Snapshot Capture," "Motion Frequency," and "Video Recording Length.".
As cold weather sets in, lithium-ion batteries like those used in Ring Doorbells and Security Cameras may experience several issues, including trouble holding a charge, running out of power faster than normal, or losing functionality. Knowing at what temperature batteries will start to be impacted can help you take the necessary steps to keep your device working. When the temperature drops to:
36°F (3°C): The battery may not hold a charge as effectively, resulting in having to charge the unit more frequently.
32°F (0°C): The battery may not charge at all. Even hardwired configurations may not charge the battery.
-5°F (-20.5°C): The battery may stop working completely until temperatures warm up.
When it gets cold and your device's battery runs out, bring your entire device inside and charge the battery with a USB cord. This will allow your device to warm up while the battery charges.
We recommend using the Ring Solar Charger or the Ring Plug-In Adapter to assist with extending the life of the battery in your Ring Battery Doorbell Plus. The Ring Solar Charger for Ring Battery Doorbell Plus is a solar power source that can be mounted behind yourBattery Doorbell Plus. The doorbell integration with the ring app is wondefull. The camera is excellent and alerts are fast and timley. The battery life is subperb as well. It has been over 2 weeks and battery level is north of 80 percent with heavy use. To all those that buy this product, it will not disappoint!

There were no bronze ones available, and the nickel looks cheap.
