Had to replace my original chime which just stopped working. This is a nice replacement unit for two reasons. First, it has a night light which I didn't think I needed but I plugged it into a plug near a step in my living room and its handy and safer with the automatic night light. Second, this unit has its own wireless network which can connect to the ring doorbell and give you a stronger signal which I needed to save battery power (I have a battery powered ring)_. Signal went from 60 to mid to low 40's. (Lower is better). Mission accomplished.

This product helps to extend my ring doorbell in different parts of the house. I got it=, because my mom is hard of hearing and this helps her a lot to hear the door bell in her room. It is easy to set up and I have never had a problem with it.

This really helped my front door ring camera with connectivity issues (far away from my router). I no longer have connectivity issues and, it has a nice night light. Obviously also helps with doorbell sounds to choose from etc. too.

Does exactly as it states. Placed it within close proximity of my ring cameras and now thw wifi reaches. It also now plays the door bell sound. As a bonus, it has a built in night light that illuminates the hallway at night.

Easy to set up! Does exactly what it’s purpose is and you can basically put it anywhere you want .. also, love the option of having a night light to help for those “ in the middle of the night “ moments…

Smaller than I expected. Is as big as the electrical outlet it's plugged into. Extends my wifi very well for things in my living room. Night light is nice to have for late night trips to wherever. I think there is a problem with picking up the door bells. I don't always hear it but my cell phone rings so I know someone is at the door.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We understand how important it is for your Ring Chime Pro to function consistently and reliably, so you are alerted to any wanted or unwanted activity in or around your home. Having a solid connection ensures you do not miss any activity around your home. We are here to provide you with some information to resolve the issue you mentioned in your review.
It sounds like you are experiencing issues with the device in regards to notification. Even with your Chime Pro, your router is still your main source of connection for your Ring device. Ideally, the maximum distance between the router and your device is 20-25 feet with the Chime Pro about halfway between the Ring device and your router. If possible, try moving the router closer to the device. Also, make sure your router is not in a closet or behind furniture, like a sofa, so the router has an unobstructed signal.
We invite you to reach out to our community if any additional information is needed regarding your Ring Chime Pro. The Ring Community is our first peer-to-peer community forum, giving our customers the ability to help one another by sharing their feedback and experiences with each other.
Thank you, Miyuki from Ring.

Super easy to set up! The sound on the chime is loud enough to be heard upstairs. The night light on the chime is a plus! It’s bright enough to be seen but not too bright to where it’s disturbing.

This product was designed for a purpose and lived up to the expectation as advertised for the longest time I was having connectivity issues with my ring doorbell, constantly getting a weak signal. I was left scratching my head as to why I had a whole home WiFi network and my access point was within 7-8 ft of the doorbell, as soon as I setup the ring pro version II all the problems went away and the system is running prefect no more issues.

The Ring Chime Pro is a compact and handy accessory designed to complement your Ring video doorbell, and it has proven to be a valuable addition to my home security setup. This review will delve into its features, performance, and overall utility.
Design and Build (4/5):
The Chime Pro has a sleek and unobtrusive design. Its compact form factor allows you to plug it directly into an electrical outlet without taking up too much space. The white finish blends seamlessly with most interiors. While it's not the most visually exciting device, it's practical and functional.
Easy Setup (5/5):
Setting up the Ring Chime Pro is a breeze. Once you plug it into an outlet within range of your Ring video doorbell, simply follow the straightforward instructions in the Ring app to pair the two devices. The app guides you through the process effortlessly, making it accessible even for those with limited tech expertise.
Enhanced Connectivity (4/5):
One of the primary purposes of the Chime Pro is to extend the Wi-Fi coverage for your Ring devices. It acts as a Wi-Fi extender and chime in one. This is especially beneficial if your Ring video doorbell is located far from your router or experiences connectivity issues. With the Chime Pro, I noticed a significant improvement in the reliability and speed of my Ring devices, ensuring a seamless experience when receiving alerts and viewing live footage.
Adjustable Settings (4/5):
The Ring Chime Pro offers customizable settings to suit your preferences. You can adjust the volume, choose from various alert tones, and even set a "Do Not Disturb" schedule to mute notifications during specific hours. These features are convenient and enhance the flexibility of the device.
Chime Functionality (4/5):
The Chime Pro functions as a doorbell chime, alerting you audibly when someone presses the Ring video doorbell. The audible alert is clear and distinct, ensuring that you never miss a visitor, even if you don't have your smartphone or tablet nearby. While the chime is a practical feature, it would be nice to have more sound options to choose from for further customization.
Status Indicators (4/5):
The Chime Pro includes LED indicators that display the device's status, such as network connectivity and power. These indicators are useful for troubleshooting any connectivity issues or identifying problems quickly. However, some users may find the LED lights a bit bright in a dark room, so it would be beneficial if there were an option to dim or disable them.
Price (3/5):
The Ring Chime Pro is reasonably priced for its functionality, but it is an additional expense to consider if you already own a Ring video doorbell. While it enhances the overall Ring experience, the cost might deter budget-conscious users.
In conclusion, the Ring Chime Pro is a valuable accessory for Ring video doorbell owners. It addresses common Wi-Fi connectivity issues and extends the reach of your Ring devices. Its easy setup and adjustable settings make it a user-friendly addition to any home security setup. While the price may be a consideration for some, the convenience and enhanced performance it offers are well worth the investment for those seeking a reliable and seamless Ring experience.

After installing my Ring Doorbell 2 on my front door, I was consistently getting a poor wifi connection of RSSI 75-80 due to stone work on my porch and a metal front door. Also my FIOS router has to be installed near the back of our house. This was causing really bad lag and delay. I considered a WiFi extender for the same price point, but I wasn’t having any other WiFi issues and I felt that the Chime Pro would work better at focusing ONLY on my Ring network and not every device in the house. I think I made the right call. My front doorbell immediately boosted to an RSSI of 45-50 consistently. I placed the Chime Pro in our hallway sort of dead center between the router and front door. The nightlight is perfect for a hallway. The actual chimes are pretty fun although we don’t really use them with a napping toddler in the house. Highly recommended all around.

I like the upgrade with the nihgt lighting, easy to setup.I would recommend this to any one who has a ring doorbell and wants to hear it inside as well.I like that I can aslo hear the motion sound too so I can pause the soud when I'm home.

I installed a Ring Doorbell 3 Plus at a door that had no existing doorbell, Thus if we wanted a visitor to be able to "ring the bell" we needed a chime for inside. This Pro version is definitely the better device over the standard Ring Chime. Yes, the Pro version is $20 more, but it is also dual band WiFi capable and has a built in LED nightlight. A neighbor posted a review on a local website extolling the Ring Chime Pro. Based on that recommendation, I bought the Pro version and have been very happy. Installation consists of plugging it into a wall socket and running a setup routine in the Ring app. In other words, as simple as it gets.

A great addition to my Ring doorbell system. It allows me to hear the doorbell without having my phone attached to my hip. Plug it in anywhere in the house ! It also extends my wi-fi signal so there is no issue for my other Ring gadgets losing signal. It also has a night light. Very easy to install. Just plug it into any wall outlet
