I love this second generation device and yes I would recommend the device to a friend or a family member. This product really does work I have to ring door bells one at the front door and one at my garage and these chimes really do work. The thing that I really miss is that rig use to give you a selection of chimes to play. I really did love the Christmas and Halloween chimes.

Ring Chime Pro Extender

A couple cameras are located further away from router, but the extender helped with the issue we were having. All cameras work perfectly with extra help from the extender.

Doorbell/wifi extender

It worked great but then i got a WiFi extender for my other devices and eventually used it to connect the ring devices as well. Now i use it as a doorbell. I remodeled my living room and didn’t want a clunky doorbell. Soo this works perfectly and has different chimes to use as doorbell.

Note: once you plug in the Chime Pro you must WAIT. The device will look like it isn’t doing anything, but it is. You’ll have to wait about 4-5 minutes before the lights will come on. You’ll also need to do this any time you unplug and plug it in again. It can also double as a nightlight or a hallway light.

Ring Wifi Extender

So far I'm pleased with this item. Seems to do it's job. Mind has a night light which is handy and different voice or noise setting which we picked the barking dogs. I've bought a second one to set up outside in our work shed area. I'll let you know how that works out.

Great under most circumstances

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It was easy to set this item up using the app. It has a pretty cool assortment of sounds that can be used when motion is detected or presses the doorbell button. However, it is not very loud even at max volume. Nowhere near as loud as a real doorbell would be. If it is in the same room as a TV, the Chime can easily be drowned out by an action movie or a football game unless you are sitting right next to it. Still, it is a nice addition to the Ring doorbell. I just wish that it was louder.
