Customers are impressed with the Chime Pro's ease of use, helpful night light, and sound quality. The device is also praised for its ability to extend WiFi range and provide good signal strength. However, some customers find the Chime Pro to be a pricey add-on and note that it is only compatible with Ring products.

I was hesitant at first to buy the chime pro, but it’s proven to be a worthy investment if you have a ring doorbell camera. I like the fact that it’s also used as a Wi-Fi extender exclusively for ring products so it builds a bridge between the router and the doorbell camera. I think for the pro model it’s a very smart and innovative product and I also like the fact that it comes with a built-in nightlight it’s placed in a hallway, so it gives us a warm sense of security to have light, illuminating and keeping all of our rain products connected and stable

The Ring Chime Pro works great, loud enough to be heard thru the house and can be used as an internet extender and night light! Works as a motion detector and a door bell has 20 different ring tones. Happy with its operation and features!

I needed to extend the Wi-Fi range for one of my Ring devices and this Chime Pro did that for me. I don’t use some of its other features like chime tones but I know there are some choices there. No complaints so far…working well and is on par with the quality of my other Ring devices.

This extends your wi-fi. Ring on front door wasn't working until I got this. I like how you can hear the doorbell much better with this. Even has a night light feature that you can turn off if not being used.

I purchased this Chime Pro in order to extend the wifi to my existing doorbell and cameras, and it didn't disappoint. Easy setup and it actually works effectively to take some of the stress off of my home wifi network. I highly recommend for anyone with multiple Ring devices in their house

Uts a mighty little thing. Im impressed. There is an option for a dog bark as a chime. It really does sound like big mean dog. And the night light is a bonus.

Great addition to the ring doorbell. Easy setup. Just plug into any outlet. Chimes whenever someone presses the doorbell and there is a variety of chimes to choose from and change easily. Plus it has a night light and extends coverage for your ring devices.

This ring chime works great. It was such a great decision to purchase it. We had our alarm company install our ring doorbell connecting everything. It never rang in our home, just on my phone. Had them return 3 times and still couldn’t fix the issue. So they told us to go to Home Depot and buy a doorbell chime and they would return to install. We did. Still didn’t work. What the heck. I saw this at Best Buy bought it plugged it in connected to our system and in less than 2 minutes we had a doorbell that rang. Can’t imagine why a professional installer couldn’t fix or wouldn’t provide the ring chime for the ring doorbell but I guess that says a lot about this huge security company :-((. If you need something done do it yourself go to Best Buy.

Bought this for my new Ring 3+ doorbell. Glad I did. Gives more signal than the old Pro. Besides, it looks better in my kitchen (no ugly antennas). It also has a built in nightlight which comes in handy.

Smaller than I expected. Is as big as the electrical outlet it's plugged into. Extends my wifi very well for things in my living room. Night light is nice to have for late night trips to wherever. I think there is a problem with picking up the door bells. I don't always hear it but my cell phone rings so I know someone is at the door.

Hi VernonD.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We understand how important it is for your Ring Chime Pro to function consistently and reliably, so you are alerted to any wanted or unwanted activity in or around your home. Having a solid connection ensures you do not miss any activity around your home. We are here to provide you with some information to resolve the issue you mentioned in your review.
It sounds like you are experiencing issues with the device in regards to notification. Even with your Chime Pro, your router is still your main source of connection for your Ring device. Ideally, the maximum distance between the router and your device is 20-25 feet with the Chime Pro about halfway between the Ring device and your router. If possible, try moving the router closer to the device. Also, make sure your router is not in a closet or behind furniture, like a sofa, so the router has an unobstructed signal.
We invite you to reach out to our community if any additional information is needed regarding your Ring Chime Pro. The Ring Community is our first peer-to-peer community forum, giving our customers the ability to help one another by sharing their feedback and experiences with each other.
Thank you, Miyuki from Ring.

I ended up getting a Ring Chime Pro hoping it would solve the poor resolution of Ring cameras. It didn't. This extender helped extend Wi-Fi a little and improved signal strength a bit. It has plenty of volume as a door bell chime.
I ended up getting a more powerful extender from a trusted name. It improved the signal strength more than the Chime Pro. Unfortunately, Ring cameras just have poor resolution.

Hi Daniel.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us.
We understand how important it is to have clear video from your home security devices. Most Ring security cameras are designed to provide up to 1080p HD video, so that you can see any activity around your home. We would love the opportunity to work with you to ensure your devices are performing as intended.
It sounds like you have some concerns with the video quality you are seeing, even after improving the signal strength. In this instance, your wifi speeds may be impacting the video quality. We recommend running a speed test to confirm that your speeds are sufficient for optimal performance. Follow these steps to run a wifi speed test:
Turn off your mobile phone’s cellular data and connect to the same wifi network as your Ring device. Open the Ring app. Tap the menu (☰). Tap Devices. Select your device. Tap Device Health. Under Tools tap Test Your Wifi. Tap Start to run a test that will measure your upload and download speed. Both upload and download speeds should be at least 1 Mbps or greater, but 2 Mbps or above is ideal. Check the numbers on your wifi speed test. If either your upload or download speed are below 1 Mbps then you might consider replacing your router (especially if it's older than five years). Contact your internet service provider to learn more about getting newer equipment and faster speeds.

Gotta give this 5 stars because it does work and work great.
If I... a wifi, computer, smart phone, internet challenged person, can read the directions and make it work within minutes it's a good deal. Anyone can do it! This with a ring video door bell plus and a 2nd gen echo show 8.
D
We set it to dogs barking when my Ring door bell is pressed. This Chime pro is right between my doorbell and the wifi source, in my entry area.
Now the dogs barking sound is like they are in another room or out back maybe, but noticeable and audible. Guests have heard thru a solid fire door and asked. But... it is not loud or aggressive like a Rotty right at the door. Wish it was, but I feel like this should be clarified for others. Why would anyone expect that loudness when looking at this? So don't. It still gets a well deserved five stars.

I have two of these actually and they work great. Only issue I have had is that one gives a good signal and the other one not so much. Every once and while that flip-flops. The blue light on these I ended up putting a piece of electrical tape over. They need to have a LED disable option in the app. The night light is handy and bright. Was very easy to setup.

At $49.99, the Chime Pro is an affordable way to breathe new life into your Ring smart system. It can improve the Wi-Fi to your doorbells or cameras, packs a punch with a loudspeaker and even features a nightlight.
