I added a second unit after testing the initial and found having a second one for the basement was helpful to avoid missing chimes when downstairs.

This device is great for enhancing your Ring Doorbell volume. When the Ring Doorbell is activated this device echos the doorbell ring sound throughout your house. Highly recommend.

My only complaint is that most of the ringtones get a bit distorted above about 75% volume, and honestly if you have larger house, you're gonna need this at 100% as it a good bit louder than it is at 75%. The default ring tone works well at 100% volume so im glad for that at least.

It sounds like the device is not performing as expected. If your Ring Chime's ringstone get distorted, we recommend that you reset the device by pressing and holding the rest button on the side of the device for 20 seconds.

With this chime, it is easy to hear the bell in the basement or anywhere in the house as the chime can be plugged in anywhere.
