Plug it in and you have a doorbell. We had the ring doorbell synced with our Alexa Echo, but found we could only hear the door on our main floor. With the ring doorbell we can hear it upstairs too. We can't hear it in our basement unless the basement door is open, but for us that isn't a problem.

When the doorbell quit working, this Ring chime was an easy fix. Just plug it in and connect it to the existing ring doorbell and select the chime tones you like. You don't have to have tools or mess with any wires. Very flexible way to get notice that someone is at your door, anywhere in your home or even like when you are out on your deck or patio.

Allows hearing of the door bell over the entire house. Not just my phone.

Just the right size to put in my moms room so she could hear the doorbell

This purchase is necessary with a ring door bell camera. It is easy to navigate and set up and I am not tech savvy. If you have 2 levels in your home, it might be a good idea to purchase one for your upstairs and one for downstairs. Sometimes it is hard to hear it from far away if there is any background noise going on

Had to buy this new chime after my previous version died, it was only a year old. Hopefully this one lasts longer. Very easy to set up through the Ring app.

This helps us answer the door when someone rings the doorbell. Our phones are usually on vibrate, so we rarely check everytime the phone vibrates. This allows us to hear the doorbell from anywhere within the house, like a normal doorbell. You can change the chime to different sounds. Easy to set up, plug it in and connect it via the app. Only complaint would be that I'd like the chime to sound longer than it does. You also can't keep pressing the doorbell button to get the chime to sound again. You have to wait for the doorbell to shut off to press it again.
