The chimes do sound kind of crackly when on the highest volume. Overall I’m pleased with it. We have it in a central location and can hear it throughout the house. I think the holiday themes chimes are cute for a seasonal change.

The added benefit of having not just the person who has the ring app know that there’s someone at the front door. I like that it is white and is discreet. You just plug it in and forget it and it’s nice.

Combined with my Ring doorbell it can provide a different ring for package delivery. It also serves as a nightlight in the dark hallway that I located it. I bought this as a cheaper alternative to replacing an existing conventional door chime that had been working with my Ring doorbell, but for some reason had decided to quit working.
