Each model better than last but all working. I’ve changed it one battery in 3 years and went solar on another. I however wait for price matching or bonus points.

Sometimes i have my phone on DND or Silent and i dont want my phone going off every second if someone walks or drives by my home. So with the app i can set it only for if someone rings the bell.

Having a solid connection ensures you do not miss any activity around your home. We are here today to provide you with education to assist you in finding the best solution for your home’s environment.
With Ring Chime, simply plug it in to a power outlet, set it up in the Ring app, and you'll be able to hear alerts from your Ring devices at home. Chime offline issues are often related to wifi connection. For the Chime, placing the device within a good range of the router and without obstacles in between will ensure optimal performance.
To learn more about your device's signal strength, follow these steps:
Open the Ring app.
Tap the menu (☰).
Tap Devices.
Select the Ring device you would like to test.
Tap on the Device Health tile.
Scroll to Signal Strength under the Network section.
The green, amber, and red colors are indicators of your device connection. Green is good; red is poor.
If your wifi signal strength is good, we recommend pressing and holding the reset button on the side of the Ring Chime for 15 seconds. Follow the steps in the Ring app to reconnect the device to wifi.

Not only does it alert or notify of a visitor while inside the home and sound Carrie’s throughout the home, it also notifies my cell with the same chime.

Ring chime for remote area in home

I went through 2 echos thinking I could use it as a chime. Didn't work even though Amazon said it would. But this worked flawlessly.
