I like the idea of being able to monitor my home, but the constant alerts were annoying, and the additional monthly subscription cost was not worth it to me. I already pay for the Ring doorbell which I love. It also used that much more battery life on my phone so I did not continue using it after the trial period for the subscription ran out. However, it might come in handy at some point, and I can reactivate it then.

Ring is a good choice as a platform.

I use it very close to the wifi router so haven’t tested distance. I don’t love the fact you have to pay for storage but for my need it is more about motion.

not the best ring cam but worth the $

Mainly because I can run PoE on the elite. The picture didnt seem as clear but it works great for being 1/4 of the price.

Picture is the best and clear i have ever seen. Only thing I dont like when lighting changes it makes a clicking sounds and makes my dog super nervous.
