And it is a real pain to get them back working again. I like to think I’m a pretty tech savvy person but these through me for a loop lol

Bought it to look in on puppies, so it’s good enough for that.

Also I had problems with it taking blacked out videos… DONT know if that was because of my poor wifi connection or just the camera in itself…

But, so have others cameras from other brands. I didn’t have an opportunity to test out all the features due to the connection. However, the Ring application is great, and the brand itself is excellent. Personally, I’d recommend purchasing a Wi-Fi extender or perhaps a mesh system if you’re attempting to use only Wi-Fi (not wired/Ethernet connections) for security cameras.

The Indoor Cam is a smaller next-generation security camera specifically designed to be used indoors to bolster the security around your home. This device also features 1080p full HD resolution, two-way audio, HD video recording, and a wide viewing angle. Please know that it is a priority for us to be of assistance and find a resolution to your concern.
After reading your review, it seems that your indoor camera is having trouble staying connected to your home wifi. When this occurs, we recommend rebooting your wifi modem and router. For optimal performance, since your router and modem are usually the hardest-working devices in your house, you should reboot them about once a month. To reboot routers or modems, follow the instructions below:
Unplug your router or modem from its power supply (don’t just turn it off).
If your router and modem are separate, unplug both of them.
Wait at least 30 seconds, then plug them back in.
Wait for your internet to be restored.

Poor night time images

The IR light gets very bright at night creating a very dark image. Will sometimes have a black and white image during daylight hours. Overall, better than no camera.

We, too, believe that nighttime video quality is very important, since this can be when we feel most vulnerable. Please know that Ring takes your security and peace of mind very seriously. We are here to be of assistance and find a solution to this dilemma.
Certain models of Ring devices have a night vision feature that allows you to see through the camera in low light conditions. By using infrared light, the camera can create a black and white image that is then beamed to the Live View in your app. By turning the color night vision feature on, the camera will use whatever ambient light is available to try and create a "false color" image in your Live View. This lets you get a better sense of what's happening in the image by creating a false sense of color depth.
