And it is a real pain to get them back working again. I like to think I’m a pretty tech savvy person but these through me for a loop lol

Poor night time images

The IR light gets very bright at night creating a very dark image. Will sometimes have a black and white image during daylight hours. Overall, better than no camera.

We, too, believe that nighttime video quality is very important, since this can be when we feel most vulnerable. Please know that Ring takes your security and peace of mind very seriously. We are here to be of assistance and find a solution to this dilemma.
Certain models of Ring devices have a night vision feature that allows you to see through the camera in low light conditions. By using infrared light, the camera can create a black and white image that is then beamed to the Live View in your app. By turning the color night vision feature on, the camera will use whatever ambient light is available to try and create a "false color" image in your Live View. This lets you get a better sense of what's happening in the image by creating a false sense of color depth. Also I had problems with it taking blacked out videos… DONT know if that was because of my poor wifi connection or just the camera in itself…
