    I like to have these cameras to see my home from any where, but some times the only video that is recorded is completely dark, and some times doesn't activate when there is animals around my home and/or the image gets cut off in between movement

    So far so good. Got it on sale for 59.99. I gave it 3 stars because when u buy items from Best Buy they only give u 10 days to return it. That’s a no for me so I will not purchase any thing else from them due to this.

    Camera works great but the little speakers sounds are not very good getting sound from the speaker to your phone works great but talking to your phone could a speaker really wasn't worth the money

    I don’t care for this camera. Too hard to figure out the setup. If you want to see the videos after the introductory period you have to pay for it. Nope.

    I bought two of these Ring indoor cameras. The quality of the video isn't the best most days, and the app takes a minute to "go live" so I can see my designated areas in real time. Overall it was worth the purchase.

      We know how important it is to have peace of mind when it comes to your security and receiving notifications plays a significant role in having that sense of security. For our consumers, we want to ensure that you are notified of who may be near your door at all times.

      We recently released the Rapid Ring App, which was designed to facilitate a speedy response when answering notifications. Rapid Ring is a "light" version of the classic Ring App with most of the features stripped out except for Ring device statuses and the ability to activate a Live View and respond to an event as quickly as possible. By using the Rapid Ring app instead of the original Ring App you'll be able to answer your notifications as quickly as possible.
      Think of this app as a companion to the Ring App. You'll continue to use your original Ring App for all the settings functions built into your Ring devices such as checking video history or adjusting motion and video settings.

    Indoor Camera Stopped Providing Video Notification

    I am very disappointed with this indoor camera. It worked OK for a long time and then suddenly stopped providing video notification of activities when a person walked into the area that it was monitoring. The same thing happened to an outdoor stick up camera. I tried everything that I could think of to get them to work again. they would sometimes provide an sound notification but no video notification. I have retired the indoor camera and installed a new Wyze Indoor & Outdoor camera which continuously provides a continuous video stream and a sound notification when there is activity in its view.

    Talking thought the camera lags

    My only problem is the talking throught the camera. It lags too much even tho I have a 1gig Xfinity internet. Sometimes nothing comes out of speaker.

      Having crystal clear audio on live events and recorded events is critical! One of the privacy features on the Indoor Cam allows you to disable the audio streaming and recording functions of your device. Can you follow these steps to confirm if the audio has been disabled on your device:
      Open your Ring app.
      Tap the three lines on the top left of the Dashboard screen.
      Tap Devices.
      Select the Indoor Cam.
      Tap Device Settings.
      Tap Video Settings.
      Tap the Audio Streaming and Recording toggle.

      Also, when using the live view feature, can you confirm you are clicking the small microphone icon to initiate the two-way talk feature through the device? Here is a helpful article regarding the live view feature: https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/208144516-Using-Live-View.

    This camera is okay, except it doesn't capture everything on that comes on it. Even though there can be someone passing by, it doesn't always notify you or record the motion sometimes even though the motion settings are setup.

    Bought for a Christmas gift. Unfortunate that you cant store video on a memory card to play back over the app like other camera, but the recipients is aware the subscription costs.

      A Ring Protect Plan is not necessary to view real time notifications on your Ring cameras. Without the Ring Protect Plan you can still use the live view and two-way audio feature, you are still able to see who is at your door and answer motion notifications. In order to see past recorded videos from your ring device, you will need the optional Ring Protect Plan, which starts at $3/month per device or $30/year per device.     Unfortunately I had to return 2 of these as neither worked. The third time was the charm and worked exceptionally. I'm only rating this an average because I had to install 3 different cameras for it to work

    For peace of mind you can’t beat the price but the quality of the video is relatively poor. Don’t know that I would recommend it to someone that was looking for HD camera. But it gets the job done at a reasonable price.

    Wifi connectivity has been an issue for me. Could be my connection, tho. I wish you could rotate the camera via the app to view more areas. Would have gotten a different camera with that feature had I thought it thru...

    Purcahsed the Ring camera however I returned it. Blink camera is better in my opinion. Only feature I liked about the Ring is that is has the alarm feature but overall I like the Blinks camera better.

    After 30 days of trial this device needs $5 membership fee or it’s useless. I should have searched more before investing $60

Ring devices were designed to allow for live viewing and to notify you of motions based on your specifications to help keep your home secure. We can definitely provide you with more information regarding the concern mentioned in your review.

      It sounds like there was some misunderstanding regarding the optional Ring Protect Plans offered. The Ring Protect Plan is an optional subscription that gives you access to paid features for Ring devices. With a Ring Protect Plan, you can save, review, and share video recordings from your Ring devices to your Ring account.

      Without a Ring Protect Plan, you can still view real-time video from Ring doorbells and cameras and answer doorbell notifications when they happen, but you don’t get video recordings of those events.

      A Ring Protect subscription may be purchased on a monthly or yearly basis. Plans start at as little as $3.99 per month.

      Ring Community was launched to help deliver the most current news and educational information to our neighbors. This online forum is divided into four categories: Product Boards, Ring Updates, Tips + Tricks, and a Moderators’ Corner.     Great camera for the money and works with our other ring products but the two way audio is awful. You can’t hear a word anyone says when trying to talk to someone using the app.

    Easy to set up, but inconsistent

    The cameras are great when they work, but connecting to them often takes a while and is inconsistent. Decent price and super easy to use. I would get them again, but they are probably a year away from being great.

    The biggest problem with this camera is the limited mounting options. There is no swivel so it has to be mounted up and down or sideways only. I won’t be buying this one again

    I sent this one back and purchased the wireless. This one is very small and only fits where there is an outlet. The wireless is a little more expensive but it works better in my opinion.

    The video is better than the audio quality, can’t hear anything when you speak into it. Excepted a bit more for the price.

Here at Ring, we take your security and peace of mind seriously. Please know that we are here to ensure that we can find a resolution together.

      If you are experiencing poor audio or video quality during a live view, but your recordings are fine, this can be caused by either a poor connection between your mobile device and the cloud servers, or a connectivity problem between the Ring device and your router. In rare cases, however, this can be caused by settings in your router.

      One of the most important measurements in your Ring security network is the strength of your wifi signal. You may run a special connectivity test at any time to see if a bad wifi connection is responsible for problems with your device. We have included step by step instructions below:

      -Open Ring app
      -Hamburger Menu/ 3 Lines
      -Select Devices
      -Select a Ring device
      -Select Device Health
      -Select "Test your Wifi" under the Tools Section
      -Tap "Start test
      -Once the test is done, Enter your Results from the Speed test

      Sometimes, even with high internet speeds, the connection is not as strong at the location of the Ring device.
