We know how important it is to have peace of mind when it comes to your security and receiving notifications plays a significant role in having that sense of security. For our consumers, we want to ensure that you are notified of who may be near your door at all times.
We recently released the Rapid Ring App, which was designed to facilitate a speedy response when answering notifications. Rapid Ring is a "light" version of the classic Ring App with most of the features stripped out except for Ring device statuses and the ability to activate a Live View and respond to an event as quickly as possible. By using the Rapid Ring app instead of the original Ring App you'll be able to answer your notifications as quickly as possible.
Think of this app as a companion to the Ring App. You'll continue to use your original Ring App for all the settings functions built into your Ring devices such as checking video history or adjusting motion and video settings.

Talking thought the camera lags

Having crystal clear audio on live events and recorded events is critical! One of the privacy features on the Indoor Cam allows you to disable the audio streaming and recording functions of your device. Can you follow these steps to confirm if the audio has been disabled on your device:
Open your Ring app.
Tap the three lines on the top left of the Dashboard screen.
Tap Devices.
Select the Indoor Cam.
Tap Device Settings.
Tap Video Settings.
Tap the Audio Streaming and Recording toggle.

Indoor Camera Stopped Providing Video Notification

It worked OK for a long time and then suddenly stopped providing video notification of activities when a person walked into the area that it was monitoring. The same thing happened to an outdoor stick up camera. I tried everything that I could think of to get them to work again. they would sometimes provide an sound notification but no video notification. I have retired the indoor camera and installed a new Wyze Indoor & Outdoor camera which continuously provides a continuous video stream and a sound notification when there is activity in its view.

Works good but can be better.

Even though there can be someone passing by, it doesn't always notify you or record the motion sometimes even though the motion settings are setup.

A Ring Protect Plan is not necessary to view real time notifications on your Ring cameras. Without the Ring Protect Plan you can still use the live view and two-way audio feature, you are still able to see who is at your door and answer motion notifications. In order to see past recorded videos from your ring device, you will need the optional Ring Protect Plan, which starts at $3/month per device or $30/year per device. Ring devices were designed to allow for live viewing and to notify you of motions based on your specifications to help keep your home secure. We can definitely provide you with more information regarding the concern mentioned in your review.
It sounds like there was some misunderstanding regarding the optional Ring Protect Plans offered. The Ring Protect Plan is an optional subscription that gives you access to paid features for Ring devices. With a Ring Protect Plan, you can save, review, and share video recordings from your Ring devices to your Ring account.
Without a Ring Protect Plan, you can still view real-time video from Ring doorbells and cameras and answer doorbell notifications when they happen, but you don’t get video recordings of those events.
A Ring Protect subscription may be purchased on a monthly or yearly basis. Plans start at as little as $3.99 per month.
Ring Community was launched to help deliver the most current news and educational information to our neighbors. This online forum is divided into four categories: Product Boards, Ring Updates, Tips + Tricks, and a Moderators’ Corner. The Product Boards are where you can begin new topics with your questions or feedback; there is also a search option that helps you find topics that have already been posted by other neighbors.

Don’t know that I would recommend it to someone that was looking for HD camera. But it gets the job done at a reasonable price.

Wasn’t happy with Ring camera.

Blink camera is better in my opinion. Only feature I liked about the Ring is that is has the alarm feature but overall I like the Blinks camera better.

Great picture…horrible audio

You can’t hear a word anyone says when trying to talk to someone using the app.

If you are experiencing poor audio or video quality during a live view, but your recordings are fine, this can be caused by either a poor connection between your mobile device and the cloud servers, or a connectivity problem between the Ring device and your router. In rare cases, however, this can be caused by settings in your router.

There is no swivel so it has to be mounted up and down or sideways only. I won’t be buying this one again

Easy to set up, but inconsistent

Decent price and super easy to use. I would get them again, but they are probably a year away from being great.

Here at Ring, we take your security and peace of mind seriously. Please know that we are here to ensure that we can find a resolution together.
If you are experiencing poor audio or video quality during a live view, but your recordings are fine, this can be caused by either a poor connection between your mobile device and the cloud servers, or a connectivity problem between the Ring device and your router. In rare cases, however, this can be caused by settings in your router.
One of the most important measurements in your Ring security network is the strength of your wifi signal. You may run a special connectivity test at any time to see if a bad wifi connection is responsible for problems with your device. We have included step by step instructions below:
-Open Ring app
-Hamburger Menu/ 3 Lines
-Select Devices
-Select a Ring device
-Select Device Health
-Select "Test your Wifi" under the Tools Section
-Tap "Start test
-Once the test is done, Enter your Results from the Speed test
Sometimes, even with high internet speeds, the connection is not as strong at the location of the Ring device. Too small for me

This one is very small and only fits where there is an outlet. The wireless is a little more expensive but it works better in my opinion.

My own experience.

Not sure how everybody else has had such great experiences, but maybe I just received a defective product. Camera will not stay connected to WiFi- yes the WiFi signal at my apartment is strong. Have to continuously reconnect the camera every time I get home. What is the point of this camera if it doesn’t work when I am not home? Today, (fifth day in) the camera completely stopped working. It won’t even turn on at all. Tried multiple outlets in my apartment. Tried resetting the camera every way possible. Absolutely nothing. No lights, no sounds. Waited a few hours, tried again, camera just basically died out of nowhere. Not a great experience.

The Indoor Cam is a smaller next-generation security camera specifically designed to be used indoors to bolster the security around your home. This device also features 1080p full HD resolution, two-way audio, HD video recording, and a wide viewing angle. Please know that it is a priority for us to be of assistance and find a resolution to your concern.
After reading your review it seems that your Indoor Camera is having trouble staying connected to your home wifi. When this occurs, we recommend rebooting your wifi modem and router. Since your router and modem are usually the hardest working devices in your house, for optimal performance you should reboot them about once a month. To reboot routers or modems, follow the instructions below:
Unplug your router or modem from its power supply (don’t just turn it off).
If your router and modem are separate, unplug both of them.
Wait at least 30 seconds, then plug them back in.
Wait for your internet to be restored.

Slow on movement

I'd also recommend making adjustments to the Motion Zones as needed. It sounds like you may benefit from using Ring Modes to control when the outdoor camera's record and when they don't. With Away Mode, you will be able to only record on the outdoor camera's when you are away from home.
