    Less than 10 feet from the router, and connections drops continuously. Don't even try to communicate across it, it just sound like static from a bad mcdonalds drive thru speaker. It's the worst. Going back to my old SimpliSafe which also drops continuously, but I can talk and be heard across it.

      We know how important it is to be able to speak clearly with people through your camera. Under the right conditions, the Ring Indoor cam should offer crystal clear two-way audio through the Ring app. Rest assured, we hear your concern and are here to help.

      If you are experiencing poor audio or video quality during a live view, but your recordings are fine. This can be caused by either a poor connection between your mobile device and the cloud, or a connectivity problem between the Ring device and your Router. If you are experiencing poor video or audio quality when viewing both the live and recorded video in the Ring application, the problem is almost always some sort of wifi issue like signal or data loss. In rare cases, however, this can be caused by settings in your router.

    Subpar in every way. When subscribing runs out the camera is only good for live views basically. I have a google camera that at least hold a few hours without subscription. Only get if your going to keep the subscription plan. Picture is also very subpar. I know it’s a inexpensive camera but I was sure it be better

After reading your review, it seems that you are not fully satisfied with your Ring Indoor Camera after the free trial ended. Ring gives a complimentary 30-day trial with each new Ring device. After the 30-days you can chose if you would like to purchase a Ring Protect Plan. A Ring Protect Plan is not necessary to view real time notifications on your Ring cameras. Without the Ring Protect Plan you can still use the live view and two-way audio feature, you are still able to see who is at your door and answer motion notifications. In order to see past recorded videos from your ring device, you will need the optional Ring Protect Plan, which starts at $3/month per device or $30/year per device.       After reading your review, it seems that you are having trouble with the motion settings of your Ring Indoor Camera. Motion Zones allow you to define a specific area that you want your Ring device to cover while ignoring everything outside that area. By drawing your Motion Zones to cover only areas you want the Ring device to monitor, you can more effectively monitor the area you want, as well as reduce the number of “false positive” motion alerts.     Looking to return it. Activated it and it quit viewing immediately. Uninstalled it and got nothing from it when I tried again.

      After reading your review, it seems that your Ring Indoor Camera is having trouble staying connected to your home wifi. When this occurs, we recommend rebooting your wifi modem and router. Since your router and modem are usually the hardest working devices in your house, for optimal performance, you should reboot them about once a month. To reboot routers or modems, follow the instructions below:
      Unplug your router or modem from its power supply (don’t just turn it off).
      If your router and modem are separate, unplug both of them.
      Wait at least 30 seconds, then plug them back in.
      Wait for your internet to be restored.

    I got this camera for my play room. Only pqroblem it is in black and white. You do not see things in color.

      Thank you for leaving a review. We can understand the importance of the video displaying correctly. During the day, the videos should be viewed in color and not in Night Vision mode. Please know that we are here to ensure that we can get the Ring Indoor Camera to respond correctly to the environment.

       

      Based on your review, it seems that your Ring Indoor camera is stuck in night vision. If this is the case, we recommend resetting the device. To reset your Ring Indoor Camera, press and hold the setup button for 10-15 seconds and then release. Once the light stops flashing, you may proceed with setting up the device.     We set it up before leaving for vacations. We made several trials that failed. Just when we thought that was ready, as soon as we left the camera stoped working, never went back to be online so we didn't have an indoor camera for the rest of our trip. Not reliable. It doesn't work.

    Good camera but the two way is hard to hear

    These cameras are good to see but not to have a two way talk option. It says it does have the option but you can’t hear clearly.

      Poor video quality can be attributed to the wifi/bandwidth connection. One of the most important measurements in your Ring security network is the strength of your wifi signal. You may run a special connectivity test at any time to see if a bad wifi connection is responsible for problems with your device. We have included step by step instructions below:

      -Open Ring app
      -Hamburger Menu/ 3 Lines
      -Select Devices
      -Select a Ring device
      -Select Device Health
      -Select "Test your Wifi" under the Tools Section
      -Tap "Start test
      -Once the test is done, Enter your Results from the Speed test

      Sometimes, even with high internet speeds, the connection is not as strong at the location of the Ring device.
