I'm sure that it'll get recognized in the system as it's actual name, rather than just the inside cam. It's not on the list of optional cameras to choose from. The QR code and the bar code failed to be scanned. I was able to connect it to my Amazon Alexa routines to get it to show up on my phone. Everyone knows that I'm not crazy about difficult tech. And this shouldn't be one of them. It's very lightweight and can be put up anywhere. That's a plus. But it only comes with a 6 foot power cord, that you must have connected. This means it needs to be near an outlet. The hardware is small so keep your eye on it. It'll dissappear. I'm sure there's is a software upgrade coming, but for now. This just much work for a camera that should just integrate into my blink to system. It is an indoor camera. Meaning if won't do well in the elements. So I don't even recommend putting it on your closed patio. It small and plastic. So be sure to mount it securely. If this is your first RING camera, I'd suggest that you get another one, instead.

It sounds like the QR code and barcode didn’t scan properly during setup. For your reference, here are the steps you can try if you experience an issue when scanning the QR code:
Move your camera closer or further from the QR code to help it focus.
Once your camera finds focus, hold it steady for a few seconds.
If your camera won’t focus, clean your camera lens, move to a well-lit area, and try again.
If you continue to experience issues, please follow these additional steps:
Tap "Other Options" below the scanner.
Select Can’t Scan the QR code.
Confirm by selecting "Enter code manually" (this corresponds to PIN code digits underneath the QR code).
Find your device in the list.
Enter your five digit PIN which can be found below the QR code.

Great indoor camera

I specifically like the Low-Light Sight feature for maintaining color in the dark. Great for keeping an eye inside my house for my dog ((and husband lol))

Solid Indoor Ring Camera

The field of view is wider than previous indoor Ring cams. The only drawback from the previous version is that it lost the color night vision capability.

I had the pand and tilt but preferred the better video quality of this camera so I exchanged them out. Also the low light capability works great.

I have many Ting caneras and this is one of ny new favorites. The video quality is excellent and it hooke a eight up with no problems. I highy recommend it and will like to purchase another one later on for another room.
