It sounds like the device is not performing as expected. The Ring Stick Up Cam is our leading indoor and outdoor-ready security camera with flexible mounting options. Your Ring Stick Up Cam will be happy just about anywhere, indoors or out. It can sit on its own stand, or mount to a wall or ceiling. If the view from your Stick Up Cam or Stick Up Cam Pro is upside-down, inverted or rotated, your camera is most likely not in its ideal mounted position.

3rd generation stick up cam

Decided to go with this cuz I'm using it for indoor. So when power goes out, cam can still record. Now I need to find a power cable. Should I use a AC adapter cable or a solar panel to charge the battery? Please advise..

For indoor use, we recommend using the Ring Indoor/Outdoor Power Adapter (Barrel Plug) to assist with extending the life of the battery in your Ring Outdoor Cam. The Ring Indoor/Outdoor Power Adapter (Barrel Plug) is designed to convert battery-powered cameras so they can run using line current. I love the battery operated ones because they can go anywhere. Install is a breeze and the app works reliably. I’ve had trouble getting notifications on my iPhone, but a restart on my phone solves that problem...it was my phone not Ring. I also bought one of these to monitor my house interior while traveling. Works perfectly.

We have numerous outside Ring cameras, and this indoor one does not disappoint. It paired well with our system and did a great job of helping us monitor our house while we were away.
