I had fun learning all about how it works and I am recommending it to every person I come in contact with that doesn't own one. I do have to thank the employee that help me decide which one is best for me.

It does what I want it to. If you want to keep your videos there is a $3.00 dollar a month subscription to do so. But I think they all have some type or subscription. Battery is still above 55 % which is better than I was expecting. There are probably more feature rich options our there. But it does what I need. I am thinking about added the security light model to my garage.

The inability to set truly custom activity zones is definitely an issue. The battery life is poor compared to the Arlo, but there is a solar option. The app notifications are good, but there are no video previews (the same as the Ring doorbell). Overall it works fine but there is really nothing to make it any better than the competition.

Being able to see video previews of your events allows you to effectively monitor your property. We can definitely assist you with this concern today by providing you some information.
Rich Notifications send you a snapshot image of what’s happening in front of your Ring security camera or video doorbell so you can easily see what’s going on without needing to open the Ring app. They are included in your Ring Protect subscription.
You may need to update your mobile device's operating system and download the latest version of the Ring app to access the latest in-app features. For an enhanced notification experience, we recommend turning on the Rich Notifications feature in the Ring app. Rich Notifications send you a snapshot image of what’s happening in front of your Ring security camera or video doorbell so you can easily see what’s going on without needing to open the Ring app. They are included in your Ring Protect subscription. You may need to update your mobile device's operating system and download the latest version of the Ring app to access the latest in-app features.
When a Rich Notification appears, you can expand the notifications to zoom in and see a bigger version of the image. The process of expanding the image is a little different for iOS and Android. On iOS follow these instructions to enable the feature: Tap and hold the thumbnail to open up the full-frame snapshot. On Android follow these instructions to enable the feature: Drag down the thumbnail to open up the full-frame snapshot. In some cases, in order to ensure you receive notifications as fast as possible, you may receive multiple notifications. A regular notification to your smartphone will be sent as soon as possible and then that notification will be updated with an image. Rich Notification snapshots are available on your phone until your notification is dismissed. We do not store Rich Notification snapshots in the Ring app. If your phone has a poor connection, we store the snapshot in the cloud for up to four minutes so that we can deliver it to you as soon as you are back online. In some cases of poor connection, you may not receive Rich Notifications. You can toggle Rich Notifications on or off by doing the following: Open the Ring app. Tap the menu (☰). Tap Device. Select a device. Tap the Device Settings tile. Tap Notification Settings. Tap Rich Notifications. Toggle on or off to update your Rich Notifications settings.

We just bought it to monitor the inside of our house while we were on a trip and it worked perfectly. Very happy with it. Will upgrade to the Ring alarm eventually!

Resolution is amazing (HD) and it’s worth paying a relatively small annual fee for getting unlimited recordings. This has recorded several instances of unwanted visitors and definitely worth the money!

I have almost a 360 degree view of my home with all 3. No matter where I am away from home I get notified if someone walks into perimeter that I have set up.

I love this camera. People see it up there and think twice about doing anything stupid. I also love that it was easy for me to set it up and also that the notifications are always very spot on and in real time. They were out of ring doorbells but I’m glad that I got this instead.

Great Security Cam

They work well, and they work well with our Echo Show 8. It’s nice being able to see packages delivered, and to have proof of whether or not something was delivered to my house as sometimes mine are delivered elsewhere. Good quality. Use two factor authentication and you’ll be fine.

I currently have 3 outside my home and they all work great. I can talk to visitors and if anyone approaches my door I can see them clearly. They really provide peace of mind in the event that an uninvited "guest" decides to show up I will have a clear video of that person If they try to commit s crime on my property.

Great Price for Security

I have several ring cameras that I use at my home & beach properties. My only wish is that Ring would make it's products compatible with Google apps
