Good alternative for Ring Doorbell

I bought 2 Stickup Cams & mounted them facing each door. Motion detection is great. Standard settings in app allow detection of even a small squirrel!

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Since we had already bought the Doorbell to watch out for porch pirates (ppl who steal packages off porches), I wanted to make sure that our garage (deattached from house) was covered also. Installation was pretty straight forward. I know I’ll have to deal with charging the battery from time to time, but as it’s a rental property, I want to be sure that I can take it with me, in case I move.

You can remove the base to attach it to back of camera so you can mount that way as well. Easy to put up, easy to work. I also have the solar attachment which I highly recommend.

We are happy to provide you with more information regarding the motion detection concern that you mentioned in your review. It is important to ensure that you have the proper motion settings in place for your environment. This camera uses adjustable motion detection and runs on passive infrared sensors. The system identifies visitors via a moving heat signature and sends a notification to your smart device when one is detected. You can adjust three preset motion zones and their distances under the "Motion Settings" tab on the device's page in the Ring app. Additionally, you can choose how often the camera checks for movement in those predefined zones via the "Motion Frequency" setting. If you find that your camera is missing some motions, please set the motion frequency to "Frequently."
Accuracy in motion detection can also be improved by enabling the "Smart Alerts" feature for people only in your Ring app. To enable "Smart Alerts," please follow these steps:
Tap the menu (≡) on the top left.
Tap "Devices."
Tap the device that you want to adjust.
Tap "Motion Settings."
Tap "Smart Alerts."
Tap "Enable Feature."
Tap "Continue."
Select the notification options that you want for "Person" and "Other Motion."
You'll see a video camera where you can select or de-select recording and a bell icon to represent alert notifications.
After you've adjusted your settings, tap "Done."

Slightly different style but set up is the same. Easy set up by scanning the 3D code and using the app. The Ring app works great as well!

This Stick-Up Ring camera did the trick. It comes with hardware and is very easy to mount anywhere. It also can be used in the house by just sitting on a table or mounted to a wall.

Ten minutes out of the box and it is up installed and running! Very easy to mount with several options based on your needs. Recommend as an add on or a stand alone.

I reccomend getting the solar panel to keep the battery charged though. That way you can have the setting set to max.
