Great camera for home security. I started with two camera, one for outside and one inside. I love how I can view past and live camera footage from work or anywhere else. I will be adding more devices soon!

Great for outdoor/backyard security. Very easy to set up and it keeps me notified if there is movement in the area. It does allow you to snooze the notifications when you are going to be in the area for awhile.

14 DAY RETURN POLICY (camera broke after 10 days)

Great camera as I have 5. The problem I have is with Bestbuy. One of the cameras I purchased stopped working after about 10 days. I drove around with it for a couple days. Bestbuy, ONLY HAS A 14 DAY RETURN POLICY?!!! I did get a replacement through the manufacturer. But only 14 days is ridiculous. Cudos to Ring but I feel like I should have went next door to Lowe’s and purchased my cameras. It is however written on the receipt.

Great camera that I can place anywhere especially when plugging it in is not optimal. I reccomend getting the solar panel to keep the battery charged though. That way you can have the setting set to max.

I did a review of this earlier. I received this for Christmas but my husband wasn't able to set it up until the first or second week of January. I really liked the Security Camera but lately it's not loading and a few times it says it can't connect to my location, or something like that. I haven't been any where except home. So, I can't figure out why it can't connect when I've always home. I thought I could be away from home and be able to check what's going on at my house but if it can't locate or connect when I'm home I don't have much confidence it this security camera when I'm away from home. We were thinking about getting the door bell, too but now I'm not sure.

      Hello Vickie,

Having peace of mind that your Ring Stick Up Cam has a solid wifi connection is vital when it comes to your home security. This ensures you are able to access video anytime day or night. The Ring Stick Up Cam is designed to connect you to video consistently and reliably. When attempting to connect to live video, if you get a blurry screen along with a message that the Ring App is having trouble connecting to the Ring device, this can be attributed to the wifi connection. Certain materials can reduce the range of wifi signals or even block them. Here are some examples of things that can interfere with your Ring cam’s signal strength:

-Heavy-duty walls and floors made of materials like concrete, brick, or metal.
-Household objects such as fish tanks, bookcases and mirrors.
-Windows made of Low-E glass also cause interference.

Additionally, competing wifi networks and other electronic devices can weaken the wifi quality. We suggest checking the Device Health section of your Ring app to ensure the device’s RSSI is within an acceptable range. Ring devices generally work best within the range of 0 to -60 RSSI. If you notice the RSSI is outside this range you can try bringing the camera inside next to your router and test the performance for improvements.

Our top priority at Ring is to ensure that you have the best possible experience with your products and services. Home security is a 24-hour a day, seven day-a-week business and Ring knows the importance of having access to your devices at the times you need them most. Please check out our community forum at https://community.ring.com/ for additional tips and support!

      Thanks,
      Alexis with Ring Ring

Its a great product from Ring compare to other competition outdoor camera value's, you can't go wrong with Stick Up camera. The battery is actually not bad either, considering is in my back yard with not alot of activity thru out the day its been 2 weeks and battery is still 60%. No complaints so far.

Fir the price, this is a good canera. The resolution and audio are good though not as sharp as wired and higher end cameras but this is expected. It was easy to set up and now sits on my shelf doing a good job !

It's alright. I wish I would have known you have to purchase an accessory to attach it to the roof. Seems like it should come with the capability to attach it anywhere. But other than that a good little camera for a decent price.

Works great. The battery dies run down fairly quickly. I bought a solar charger and that helps. The motion works great, the video is very good. Overall I really like it. I also ordered a couple batteries for backup.

      Hi BillinOk.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We understand the importance of having a solid charge on your Ring Outdoor Cam (Formerly known as the Ring Stick Up Cam) so that you are able to have a longer time between charge cycles. Having longevity in a battery-powered security device is crucial when it comes to monitoring your home, especially if you are away for long periods of time. We are here to provide you with some education to resolve the battery life issue you mentioned in your review.

It sounds like the device is not performing as expected. There are some troubleshooting steps that you can take to ensure that you have your device set up for optimal battery-life performance. The more events captured by your Ring devices, the more your battery is used. Using "Live View" can also drain your battery faster. If your device is capturing an excessive number of events each day, you may need to recharge your battery sooner.

To prevent excessive activity, under "Motion Settings" for your device in the Ring app, you can:

Adjust your "Motion Sensitivity" slider to a lower sensitivity.
      Redraw your "Customizable Motion Zones."
Change "Motion Frequency" to regularly or periodically.
You could also adjust the direction of your Ring device so it doesn't detect as much motion.

You can go to "Power Settings" in the Ring app to see what features may be draining your battery.

To access "Power Settings," open the Ring app:

Tap the menu (≡) on the top left of the dashboard.
      Tap "Devices."
Tap the individual device (video doorbell or security camera) you want to check.
Tap "Power Settings" to check your "Battery Level" percentage and "Feature Power Usage."
Tap a feature to adjust "Snapshot Capture," "Motion Frequency," and "Video Recording Length.".

If any additional information is needed regarding your Ring Outdoor Cam, please reach out to our community. Ring Community is our first peer-to-peer community forum, giving our customers the ability to help one another and share their feedback and experiences directly with Ring.

Thank you for being the best part of Ring! Have a wonderful day!

      Sincerely,
      Miyuki from Ring. Ring

We love the stick up cams, have two outdoor monitoring our backyard. High-quality imagery, you just need to make sure you have good Wi-Fi coverage where you're placing it to get that good video.
