Love this camera. It's been really good about alerting me if some one comes onto our property. We got the battery operated one and it's worked well.

Wire free basic security system for the home. After charging the battery which is supposed to last about 6 months, it was easy to setup via the app. I could keep an eye on the home while I was away.

We're away a lot for extended lengths of time so we bought this camera to watch the back of the house. I have the motion detector/notification activated so it alerts me when it sees movement. So far it's only caught one LARGE stray dog and one neighbor cutting across my yard to talk to the other neighbor, so I know it works. It's not sensitive enough to alert me to birds, squirrels and rabbits so I don't get nuisance alerts. I bought the matching solar panel to power it so I don't have to take it down to charge the battery.

For the price these are decent cameras. Easy set up and lightweight. Can use several different aftermarket mounts to attach camera to your liking. If you need to contact Ring for questions they are very helpful.

This is a great addition to your existing security system. I use it indoors and the battery lasts for over a month. Great for supervising people that come into your home for cleaning and repairs.
