Takes clear video and easy to set up!

It does the job well for the money and anyone can install it if you follow the instructions. Just need to have it near good WiFi signal. Wish it would pickup more constant motion.

You need a subscription though, which is much better than the general function. You can save online up to 6 days of recordings! Whoever crosses this camera, you will get a notification and they are streamed online. Only you can access your videos. Without the subscription you can’t save the video, you only can answer the door etc.Battery change takes 10 seconds with the special tool and the batteries are long lasting. I got 3 extra batteries and use always the next one. You get an alert when your low on battery. It is really worth every penny.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.we purchased 3 cams ,they installed very easily ,and the video is good, but the audio on these are weak , i contacted 2 different people at ring to discuss the problem, one was not very knowledgeable about the product , the other was good but i got conflicting answers. we were trying to find out if the spotlight cam had better audio .and if the siren was a little louder? the alarm on the unit is very low. i still don't have an answer and best buy has made it even more complex to try and exchange one for a better wired unit because it was on a 0 interest purchase. turned into quite a ordeal. if you want this for just video or to hear what is outside its really pretty good, if you plan to talk to the people outside (like they show in there ads ) or want to hit the siren to scare them away. you better open your window and ask them to put there ear to the unit

The features and technology provided by the Ring Outdoor Cam are incredibly valuable and help provide you with peace of mind about your home security. We want to ensure that your device is working as intended by providing you with solutions to resolve the concern you mentioned in your review.
It sounds like the device is not performing as expected in regards to audio. Poor wifi can often cause Ring device issues, including capturing audio. We recommend following these steps in the Ring app: Tap the top menu (☰), then Devices. Choose your Ring Floodlight Cam. Tap "Device Health." Under the "Network" section, you'll see your device's "Signal Strength." If your "Signal Strength" (RSSI) is amber or red, your Ring device likely has a poor connection to your location's wifi. Moving your Wi-Fi router closer to your Ring device may improve its connection. If your Wi-Fi connection is strong and you're still experiencing audio issues, reboot your Ring camera by following these steps: Open the Ring app. Tap the top menu (☰), then "Devices." Choose your Ring device. Tap the "Device Settings" tile. Tap "Device Health." Scroll down and tap "Reboot This Device." Wait a few minutes for your device to reboot.

It was easy from the moment I took it out of the box until I hung the camera up on the porch. It did take me a little, figuring to configure the motion sensitivity. The pictures are clear and I’ve had the camera up about 15 days and I have not had to recharge it yet.

It is straightforward to set up. The only downside is that you have to buy a separate ceiling mount if you wish to place your camera on a ceiling instead of a wall. This is because the application does not support changing the orientation. Nonetheless, it is still pretty good for the price.
