The battery lasts about 2 weeks on the most active setting available. Any other energy saving settings miss too much activity. The monthly subscription too store video is a necessity and just increased a dollar per camera. Something to consider each time you add a camera. All and all, I'd recommend it for a fairly inexpensive setup.
