My only gripe is that the instructions are all over the place for operation and software with seemingly no logical format. So haven't messed much with software so far. Hoping I can make it worthwhile.

We understand the importance of understanding how to use your Ring Outdoor Cam (Formerly known as the Ring Stick Up Cam) so that you can effectively monitor your home. The Ring Outdoor Cam is designed to be a DIY home security solution that can be trusted to provide you with lasting coverage. We are here to provide you with some information to resolve the issue that you mentioned in your review.
The Ring app puts you in control of your home’s security from your smartphone, tablet, or computer. Now that you've downloaded the app and set up your Ring Outdoor Cam, get familiar with the command center for all your Ring products. The Dashboard is the first screen you'll see when you open the Ring app. It has three main sections:
The tiles at the top of the screen which can be moved around and organized using the edit tile.
Images from your security cameras or doorbells, which you can tap to quickly get to "Live View."
The "Discover" section highlights new features available to you. The menu (≡) is always in the same place in the upper-left corner of the app. Tapping on it will open a side menu and give you access to the rest of the app's functions.

Captures some unexpected events (tree branches moving, etc.), but good otherwise. Battery life appears to be good. Looks like will last around 3-4 months for my usage.

Because of the location of the doorbell, and the fact I'm in a rental, I could not install a regular Ring doorbell camera. This unit is very easy to install and setup. Customer service was awesome on the few questions I had. Together with a corner mounting bracket from Amazon, I was able to get the perfect view of my mailbox and front porch. Don't try to mount inside a window looking out -the reflection in the window glass will mess with the motion sensor and picture quality.

It gives unbelievably wide-angle coverage and its image clarity (even at nights) is amazing. It is easy to install and activate and undoubtably one of the best investments I have ever made. I will be a long-time customer.

Battery life so far is good, with over a month on one charge, battery status is near full. Would recommend as an alternative to a wired camera.

I got this to keep an eye on my 13 year old weiner dog while I'm at work, because he's been having seizures. I just recently had to charge the battery. The pictures/videos are clear in both day and night or when the lights are off.

Ring has a pretty good set up for their ecosystem. Easy to mount and set up this camera. Runs on a rechargeable battery so very easy to swap out when needing a fresh battery or recharge

Adding it to other cameras on the app was easy. Having it battery instead of wired allowed me to put it in several spots until I found the exact place I wanted.

Because it’s battery operated we can put it anywhere. Very nice video quality. Battery life is 30 days plus. Must pay for subscription to have videos stored. But we’ll worth the added security.
