It does…ok. We initially had been taking the battery down and charging it but considering it was mounted outside near our roofline, that proved to me annoying climbing a ladder every few weeks. The battery doesn’t last as long as it says and then it takes quite a while to charge. So we opted for the solar charger which worked great. It doesn’t always pick up motion like we think it should when things are clearly within the parameters. Now, the camera has just decided to quit working all together. We think water may have gotten inside but are unsure. So disappointing to buy a camera that is supposed to work outside for it to be so susceptible to rain. Not to mention it has barely rained lately. I am not even going to bother contacting their customer service for replacement as I hear they only offer you a discount on another. Not sure I want to risk buying another that won’t last a year. Unless you are dedicated to the brand, I would look elsewhere or only use it inside.

If your device is unresponsive, try pressing and holding the reset button for 20 seconds. Follow the steps in the Ring app to reconnect the camera to your network. To reconnect a Ring Outdoor Cam to your wifi network: Open the Ring app. Tap the menu (≡). Tap "Devices" and select the camera you'd like to reconnect to wifi. Tap the "Device Health" tile. Under "Network," tap "Change Network" and follow the prompts in the app. Allow some time for your device to fully reconnect to the network, then check your wifi signal strength in "Device Health" to confirm it has successfully reconnected.

Poor battery life, good picture quality

It's terrible. Well let me clarify that... One of my stick up cams it's terrible and the other is just poor. They were both charged fully at the same time, both placed in nearly equal traffic areas and one died in 1 week and the other after about 1 month. The second charge... First cam about 2-3 weeks and other cam.. Haven't charged it yet. I've owned about 2 and a half months now. These cameras are more accessible than my spotlight camera so it's not as big of a deal to pull the battery and charge it, but it's nothing like what I expected in regards to longevity. I'd never have bought them if I knew I'd be re charging them every other month or so. JUST like the spotlight cam, I like the picture quality, and I like the overall functionality of the ring app and being able to see everything together, and the connection was a breeze, but I would not purchase again if the opportunity arose due to the poor battery life.

We used to have car break-ins in the area but since me and the neighbors got them we have not had an issue. We have this one on the side of the house, one in the back porch, a ring doorbell, and over the garage a wired light and camera combo. Pro: Easy Setup Great view with the lens Cons: Monthly or Yearly fee if you have more than one but it's worth it and not overly expensive.

Your Ring Stick Up Cam will be happy just about anywhere, indoors or out. It can sit on its own stand, or mount to a wall or ceiling. If the view from your Stick Up Cam or Stick Up Cam Pro is upside-down, inverted or rotated, your camera is most likely not in its ideal mounted position.

Awesome quality video camera

I had the doorbell ring 2 before and this camera appears to have better video quality to me.. Well worth the money to keep an eye on my house when im away or upstairs
