The motion is very precise and alerts right away when detected

Great indoor camera

The quality is great and the battery life is really nice! The only thing that is a "negative" is having to recharge the battery that might take a while but if timed correctly, it won't be an issue.

Both video and audio quality are very nice. Super easy to install and link up using the app… I have a few around the house and they totally help both when I’m home or not. Let’s me know when people are around… delivery drivers, neighbors, and even would be intruders.. highly recommended camera and company Ring

Second outdoor cam

Connection to wifi is good and convenient, the only issue is you won't have 24/hf 365 day coverage, because you will have to charge the batteries unless you have an extra one, and cycle them.

Best Wireless Home Security Camera on the Market

The whole process from unboxing, all the way to accessing video footage is absolutely flawless. The Ring camera systems, as well as the Ring app, work seamlessly together to create a safety net for your home and your mind. I plan to add more soon and recommend anyone searching for a security camera to the same!

It does…ok. We initially had been taking the battery down and charging it but considering it was mounted outside near our roofline, that proved to me annoying climbing a ladder every few weeks. The battery doesn’t last as long as it says and then it takes quite a while to charge. So we opted for the solar charger which worked great. It doesn’t always pick up motion like we think it should when things are clearly within the parameters. Now, the camera has just decided to quit working all together. We think water may have gotten inside but are unsure. So disappointing to buy a camera that is supposed to work outside for it to be so susceptible to rain. Not to mention it has barely rained lately. I am not even going to bother contacting their customer service for replacement as I hear they only offer you a discount on another. Not sure I want to risk buying another that won’t last a year. Unless you are dedicated to the brand, I would look elsewhere or only use it inside.

It sounds like your Ring Outdoor Cam is not performing as expected. We would love the opportunity to share with you some troubleshooting steps that you can try to get your Ring Outdoor Cam functioning as intended. If your device is unresponsive, try pressing and holding the reset button for 20 seconds. Follow the steps in the Ring app to reconnect the camera to your network. To reconnect a Ring Outdoor Cam to your wifi network: Open the Ring app. Tap the menu (≡). Tap "Devices" and select the camera you'd like to reconnect to wifi. Tap the "Device Health" tile. Under "Network," tap "Change Network" and follow the prompts in the app. Allow some time for your device to fully reconnect to the network, then check your wifi signal strength in "Device Health" to confirm it has successfully reconnected.

I expected better.

When I got the camera the battery was charged 20%. I charged it up to 30% using the usb cable (included in the package) and used it overnight. It didn’t drop much. In the morning, when I checked again it was still at 30% and by the evening it got charged (by solar) up to about 86%. The next morning it was around 60% or so. Not bad. I am very disappointed with its motion detection. I set up the sensitivity to be on MAX. Yet, I didn’t capture me moving in front of it for a minute. Same thing happened at night. Then, the snapshot capture can only be set to 5 minutes, 14 minutes or every 1 hour. Why not every 30 seconds or so? It didn’t even capture any snapshots of my 1+ minute walk in front of the camera. As such it’s hard for me to trust this product. It’s my first outdoor ring camera. The other two ring cameras that I own are indoor and also missing events, but at least I can capture snapshots every 30 seconds. Overall I am not very impressed. I expected better.

Based on your review, it seems that you are having trouble with your Ring Stickup Camera picking up the correct motion. The Stick Up Cam uses infrared motion capturing to detect motion, within its field of view. You can use the Ring app to determine the Stick Up Cam’s motion detection range and the specific zones where motion will trigger a smart alert. These settings help ensure that the Stick Up Cam will capture the events you want to see and ignore the ones you don’t.
