Ring tilt camera

I absolutely love its pan, tilt, zoom features. Also love the privacy panel a lot. The only issue I ran into was the image quality when zoomed in. Numbers or leters could not be read, especially if backlit (like a digital clock or thermostat). Other than that, the features are great, incmuding the color night vision! Highly recommended!!! Best bang for your buck!

We want to ensure your device is working as intended by providing you with solutions to resolve the video quality concern you mentioned in your review.
It sounds like the device is not performing as expected. We are happy to share some tips with you for troubleshooting why your Ring device may be experiencing issues with video quality. If your phone or tablet has poor service or internet, it could be affecting "Live View" or your video downloads. Try turning Bluetooth off, then open "Live View" or view a recorded Ring video. Poor wifi can often cause Ring device issues, including video quality. We recommend following these steps in the Ring app: Tap the top menu (☰), then "Devices." Choose your device. Tap the "Device Settings" tile. Tap "Device Health." Under the "Network" section, you'll see your device's "Signal Strength." If your "Signal Strength" (RSSI) is amber or red, your Ring device likely has a poor connection to your location's wifi. Reboot your Ring doorbell or camera by following these steps: Open the Ring app. Tap the top menu (☰), then "Devices." Choose your device. Tap the "Device Settings" tile. Tap "Device Health." Scroll down and tap "Reboot This Device." Wait a few minutes for your device to reboot.

It sounds like you are concerned with the need for the Ring Home Plan subscription. Without a Ring Home plan, your Ring products provide certain features such as Live View, Two-Way Talk, and Real-Time Notifications on your smartphone. Ring Home plans simply offer additional features for those who want them. Here are some additional features that are included when you subscribe to a Ring Home Plan.
1. Video History for up to 180 Days. Access recorded videos of every motion and Live View event for up to 180 days.
2. Snapshot Capture. See what's happening in between motion-activated events with recurring photo snapshots taken throughout the day.
3. Package and Person Alerts. Enable to get a notification only when your device spots a person or when there's a package in designated areas.
4. Rich Notifications. See exactly what triggered an alert with a photo preview right in the notification without opening the Ring app.
5. 10% off Select Products at Ring.com.

I don't keep it on all the time, but as of now, we have had no problems with it. It has a clear picture of our dog when we access the camera remotely.

Not only can we view her every move, we can also talk to her and her cargivers. You would be amazed at how much better they care for your loved one when they know you are watching.
