My neighbors were a little offended. But I don’t care. The quality is clear enough for the price. People tend not to push the doorbell though.

I need to watch the activity at the door to my spare room which is a rental

Living in a shared area makes you worry about your surroundings as well as package deliveries. Unfortunately you can’t trust everyone so why not protect yourself? Highly recommend! It’s very easy to install too!

Very easy to set-up and I do love the service that is provided. The battery lasts a long time, but I would recommend having a spare so that the service isn't interrupted.

Glass Storm Door Owners Don't Waste Your Money!

The set-up was easy and the picture quality was good. The app is user friendly and the alerts appear on my phone and smartwatch with no problem. The problem is with the motion sensors not being responsive through my glass storm door. I had a delivery to my home and was not alerted to the delivery person, the camera's motion sensors did not detect the person that was less than a foot in front of the door. I came home and tested the camera by almost pressing my face against the storm door and jumping around, hoping it would sense my motion....nothing! It can only detect me if I open the storm door so the only alerts that I receive are me coming in and out of my door!! I've adjusted all of the motion sensitivities but it hasn't helped. I called Ring's customer service and his suggestion was to put the camera in a different location. It is a Peephole camera so other locations are limited! What a waste of money!

It does have a lag between when you get an alert and when you can actually see the video, which is a disadvantage, but I do appreciate having the ability to see who is at my door and when my packages have arrived especially when I I am not home.

I bought this cam the same day. One of the best purchases I’ve made recently besides the Nest thermostat & Philips hue.

But with subscription it is a great device. Easy to install in existing door peephole. $30 a year for EACH device or $100 a year for unlimited ring devices. No monthly options. You do get a free 30 day trial of ring service though.

Ive had the ring for a week. Sometimes it rings and pick up motion there are times it doesn't. I have tried seveal of this product line to disappointed each time.

We understand how important it is to have clear and timely video from your security devices. This Ring Peephole Camera is intended to do just that. By using one, you should be able to trust that your Ring notifications will come through in a genuinely useful manner. Please know that we hear your concern and are here to help.
Most delay and video quality issues can be traced back to the wifi network in use. A simple solution is to reboot the router. This gives it a chance to refresh its internet connection.
You can also power cycle your Ring device by removing the battery for a moment or so. Doing so can help resolve underlying software issues.
