If it had picked up the motion threw the glass I would have rated it much higher, it did have a good camera view and it was simple to install and use.

Notifications sometimes do not work. What’s the point of having this if it does not notify you. And Yes, checked all my notifications in app and zone sensitivity, and the phone and everything else was set correctly. Walked repeatedly back and forth and no notification of movement.

None of the features work.

Basically an expensive peephole camera. Just a WiFi camera in the door. I haven’t decided whether or not I will take it back. The hassle of taking it back out of the door, then back to the store. After all it is a camera in the door.

I only returned it because I would not know someone was at my home unless they opened the screen door first, so I would not be notified when packages were left outside my door.

Please know that screens and storm doors in front of the device may impact motion detection performance and camera field of view. This is due to the heat based motion detection built-in to the device.
If your home features a glass, storm or other security door, please consider another Ring product. We offer outdoor security cameras as well as other doorbells which can detect motion through storm doors.

The ring app is atrocious and now with amazon two factor authorization it stopped syncing with ring app to provide alerts and recordings.

Great camera for beginners

They need to update it. when its recording, you wont see anything until a 10 sec delay.Meaning, if something happen you will be alerted 10 secs late. but otherwise i like it, just needs an update.

The Peephole Cam has 1080p HD video, but you will need a good internet connection for the best performance. If you haven't already, please reboot your router. This can help when your Ring device is having trouble with the setup. Should that tip not resolve the issue, please attempt a hard reset on your device.
- Start by ensuring your battery is fully charged.
- Remove the battery compartment cover on your device and insert the battery.
- Locate the setup button on your device.
- Press and hold this button for 15 consecutive seconds, then release.
The device will commence its reset and should finish within a minute or two. You'll know it's complete when the device enters set up mode once again.
Should the above tips not help complete the setup, please reach us directly. We would be more than happy to investigate this further. We're confident that by working together, we can find a solution soon.
