If only the Ring app was able to provide charge level of the installed battery...

To check your battery status, navigate to the Device Health tile within your device's settings in the Ring app. You’ll find the exact battery level percentage displayed under the Power section, making it easy to keep track of your device's charge.

It’s not necessary to have because I have the solar panel charger for this camera. But it’s very nice to have when my battery on my front door runs low. I would recommend having a second battery to backup.
