Since I still want to record while the other battery is charging a second battery is necessary,

Otherwise your Ring Doorbell would not function while you are charging the battery.

Love my Ring security cameras!

No more losing footage because I had to charge my only battery. The best purchase I could’ve made because these batteries take hours to charge!!!
