This way I would never be without my camera feed.

More efficient that way than charging the battery while the camera is off line.

Meaning that the more features activated within the device it is being used in, the more the battery will drain. So far so good !

It lasts about a month before needing to be charged again. Should have bought another one.

It sounds like the device is not performing as intended. For faster charging, we recommend using the Ring Charging Station. You can quickly recharge one or two Ring Quick Release Battery Packs at once with the Ring Charging Station. The Ring Charging Station is compact in size, plugs into a standard outlet and fully charges both your batteries nearly twice as fast than with a Micro USB cord alone. Simply slide batteries in and the indicator light will let you know when they’re fully charged and good to go.
