I didn't want to be without the camera while the original battery recharged, so the obvious solution was a spare battery. The spare seems to hold a charge for quite awhile when not in use. Now I always have a spare and continuous use of the camera.

I love having a charged backup. With only one battery your Ring is unavailable while charging the battery. With a second one, when the battery needs charging, pop out the device, put the already charged battery in, and no downtime. Then charge the battery removed for the next time.

I have had the Ring system for a while and did not like having it out of working order when I was charging the battery. With the purchase of this battery I always have a spare and switch it out easily and still have the visual. I found I am ready for a quick get away on a moments notice or a long planned holiday.

It’s nice to not have to recharge very often. These batteries last a long time on a single charge and mine has a lot of activity.

When I notice the battery is getting low I rotate them out.

Testing SpotCam

Now, we had an additional battery which we did not need but we kept it to add to the 2nd slot in our new SpotCam - its great since now we just pull the drain battery out and have no interruption in monitoring.
