The recharge takes quite a bit of time so I would recommend having at least a spare battery so the Ring camera isn't offline too long.

No issues with it, just make sure it’s charged and ready to go when your original battery is lacking power.

I have 6 cameras and 3 extra batteries so that my cameras are never without a charged battery. I have the high-traffic areas, which is why I have 3 extra batteries. I recently returned a knock-off Ring battery since it was so difficult to remove. I thought it was stuck in the camera forever. I finally removed it with a pair of pliers after 20 tries.
