Great spare for a solar powered ring camera

Convenient, simple

These take a long time to charge, and of course the first time I charged without a backup, something happened outside my house. I'm in the habit of changing the battery once a month now, though it would probably last much longer in my doorbell. Pop one out, replace, and charge at your leisure.

Great to have a spare on hand
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I actually bought two - one to add as the second battery on my Spotlight Cam so I wouldn't have to change batteries as often, and one as a hot spare for my Video Doorbell 2. My front doorbell was running low on battery, but since I had this spare, I just plugged in the supplied USB cable, charged it overnight, and the next morning I swapped it with my doorbell's low battery. Just a few minutes of the doorbell being offline rather than a few hours if I didn't have another battery to swap out.

Must have accessory if your camera is not close

(this isn't creepy, we know he's OK if we see him get the mail, it's not in his house. There was one day when he couldn't get his phone to work and he went out and waved at the camera so we'd come and help him). There was no way to get a wired connection to that location. Having this extra battery makes it easy to keep the camera running by making a quick change when I'm there in person. In the summer the battery lasts a long time. Winter seems much shorter.
