Battery for Camera

When the battery had to be recharged I could not take the device apart. I'm 70 yrs old and shouldn't be on a ladder. I set up an appointment and this very nice young lady came out and showed me how to detach the battery from the camera. All charged now, YEAH!!!!

The old one was causing Ring to disconnect frequently from my phone due to battery running low. Recharges were not holding power like they once did.. Went to Best Buy and bought a new one and no problems since!

Getting the recommended backup battery

Say yes. We installed our Ring March 17th, got a notification it was at 20% April 29th on the Ring App. Since they take 6-8 hours to charge, we bought the backup, as originally recommended. Now, our other battery is charged and ready for a 1-minute swap-out when the other is depleted. They're Lithium Ion, so they'll hold their charge. Oh, one more thing - DON'T THROW AWAY THE ORANGE HANDLE TOOL THAT HAS THE PHILIPS SCREWDRIVER/SECURITY SCREWW ITEM IN IT.

I own a Ring camera that is mounted above my garage. So you can imaging that there's quite a lot of activity. From time to time, I have had to swap out one of the batteries from time to time due to a low charge. And so, having this readily available is a lifesaver. I can swap a battery, and my camera operates, so I don't have to deal with any downtime.
