Its great having the back up in case it goes out while at work, etc. They last a really long time too and we always have kids setting it off constantly. Lol great value.

Great spare for a solar powered ring camera

With two batteries installed in my camera, I never have to worry about running out of power.

Convenient, simple

These take a long time to charge, and of course the first time I charged without a backup, something happened outside my house. I'm in the habit of changing the battery once a month now, though it would probably last much longer in my doorbell. Pop one out, replace, and charge at your leisure.

Must have accessory if your camera is not close

(this isn't creepy, we know he's OK if we see him get the mail, it's not in his house. There was one day when he couldn't get his phone to work and he went out and waved at the camera so we'd come and help him). There was no way to get a wired connection to that location. Having this extra battery makes it easy to keep the camera running by making a quick change when I'm there in person. In the summer the battery lasts a long time. Winter seems much shorter.
