||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Please read my reviews for The hardwired front door Ring doorbell as well as the ring camera in my backyard and solar panel. You will note that I originally purchased an extra battery because I realized that the ring camera comes with only one (1) battery but space for two (2) batteries. I chose instead to use a solar panel to continually charge my camera and not have to worry about security breaches and down time when the batteries run out because each one takes 6 full hours to recharge. Now with the way my system is hooked up hopefully I do not have any problems and worries about ever losing camera coverage for the back. And this is why I went with the hardwired doorbell in the front so I also do not have any worries about a battery losing charge and having to be recharged especially when I'm away. It's up to you but I think after you do your research and talk to True experts you're going to come to the same decisions that I have!

Spare Battery to recharge using other in Ring

This way I always have a battery in the Ring 2. Also a new charger is enclosed with the battery when purchased so if one is lost or worn out you have another to use.

These batteries take all day to fully charge (7 hours or so), so having a charged spare on hand will get your Ring doorbell up and running again quickly. A USB charge cable comes with this battery.

Only downside is it does take a few hours to charge from empty to full using an iPhone charging brick and the included cable
